Virgin Money Easy Access Cash ISA & current account

The best paying Virgin Cash ISA at 3% is only for current account holders of Virgin. The M Plus Account seems to be free with no salary pay in/direct debit requirements. Can you just open an Mplus account and not do anything with it and then get the ISA? Normally if you can do things like that MSE normally points it out. Has anyone done that?

Last year the Virgin Money M Plus a/c with the linked saver were both best buys so there was a lot of discussion on these. Hence many people here have the current a/c.

The ISA being increased to 3% was a more recent change but there should be no problem in doing what you say.

I did just that, opened MPlus account in order to qualify for the exclusive ISA.

I have since transferred the ISA away as I found a better rate elsewhere, but the MPlus account remains open.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Yes - that's what I did! No issues at all with not using the current account, although it's a decent app and I can see it would be a good current account, if I did decide to use it in future.
