Thanks for the above BUT looks like subterfuge isn’t necessary. The Christmas RS is back online so looks like it was a temporary withdrawal.I’ve probably created a bit of an issue for myself as my application will be as a new customer, so separate username etc, but I’ll face that if it happens.Just applied & message says successful. Customer number to follow by post.I’ll update RS threadGood news then.
I came here to say I'd just had an email inviting me to apply for the account (even though I've already got one) - so if anything they might have made it available for existing members only. But then I saw it on their website as well.Bridlington1's suggestion makes sense.2 -
Thanks for this information.

Hi
Ive opened one online for my xmas savings too, does a regular saver mean you have to set up a standing order for the same amount each month? Can I pay up to the maximum in smaller amounts throughout the month?
Thanks in advance0 -
You don't have to set up a standing order full stop. Indeed I usually pay into regular savers by faster payment.skye_blue said:Hi

You don't need to deposit the same amount each month and can miss months out if you want.
You can make multiple deposits throughout the month, provided you do not pay in more than a total of £300 per calendar month, so yes to your final question.3 -
No, pay in how you like (by SO if you wish) any amount(s) up to £300 per calendar month.skye_blue said:Hi

Hi,
I've just realised I missed paying any in during Feb. Opened on 28th Jan with 300, just paid another 300 for March. Am I allowed to pay 300 in to cover Feb or have I missed the boat? Can't find acc details online any more.0 -

“The maximum deposit is £300 per calendar month. If you deposit more than £300 in any calendar month, we will return the overpayment within 10 days.”
