Boxing in boiler

I would cover those 5 pipes on the right with a panel projecting out just enough to hide the (probably less than 50mm). If access is needed for any of the pipes, make the panel hinged. Then build out a cupboard to hide the boiler.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Yes that's what I want to do. What about the white plastic pipes connecting the 2 sets of pipes?FreeBear said:I would cover those 5 pipes on the right with a panel projecting out just enough to hide the (probably less than 50mm). Thanks for the clear sketch.
Just as FB says. Done properly - a nice shaker or slatted door, for example - along with architrave around it, it can look perfectly fine. Or disguised as a (removable) unit/storage as you said.
The pipes on the side look eminently box-inable, but you will need easy access to them as it looks as tho' the filling loop is there too?
I think first call would be to a good handypeep or joiner, and see what they can do, with and without modifying the pipes. To modify will need a plumber, and possibly the floorboards lifting = additional cost.1 -
Just push them out of the way so that they hide up below the boiler - You might need to put a couple of battens in to clip them to. Or you might get away with a cable tie down in the bottom right hand corner.ceewash said:

Thank you all for input. At very least it will help me convince DH that something can/should be done to improve it.1
