Boxing in boiler

If I can get the pipes neater then I'm hoping an ikea unit will fit over it all. I hate the chunky mdf look.

With plastic microbore, you want to avoid as many elbows as possible, so the 'untidy' look is more practical and probably more efficient too. Hard to know if/how they could be tidied without seeing a wider photo.

Well then if it needs to be neater fit copper pipe rather than making it look like it has been thrown in from the other side of the house. I can not believe someone would leave something like that, that would be on display.

Thank you for this . It confirms what I thought. If the pipes were tidied up we could get a slimmer unit of some sort to box it in and so gain a bit more space. The MDF cupboard has been built on an angle that just encases all the pipes.

I wasn't seeing that angled fitting on my phone pic - wow, that's just hellish.

A wider shot of the plumbing to show where the pipes disappear to would help determine how much slimmer the installation could be made. And, as you suggest, after the panel is squared off, it could be disguised as a shelving unit or similar - with the proviso that it can be easily dismantled. 

Where's the actual boiler - is that partially sunk into the wall?

The boiler is above the pipes, not sunk in.

It's in a recess or cupboard, tho'? - that's what I meant. It looks well set in - I can't work out why the panel is at an angle.

There was no room to box it across because of door into the room. The angled thing was to enclose all the pipes, those at side as well. There just seems so many pipes!
