I hope you sent it before 16.00 as we have known that the CCBC servers sometimes don't deal well with e-mails received outside of "normal" hours, i.e. after 16.00 and before 09.00.  If you sent it did you receive an auto acknowledgment?

Out of interest, is there a timeframe in which DCB has to respond to my defence/ confirm they are proceeding with the claim?

Thank you - It has been over 3 weeks since I sent the defence. Do I just wait for the questionnaire/ a court date?

You won't get a court date before a case is transferred to your chosen court, which of course cannot happen until you have completed a Directions Questionnaire.

The Claimant has a month to consider things before responding to the CCBC.
Then the CCBC will sent you a DQ to complete - but be warned the CCBC are reported to be at least a month behind with their paperwork.
