    Thanks Daisy.

Up early again this morning but only had 6 hours sleep as I wake long before the alarm so that is not great. Do plan to finish early to enjoy the pool and then gym at 6pm 2 classes then home swiftly to watch the Denmark game. Sounds like England has qualified to think I get to watch it on our only telly.

Did manage to stub my toe yesterday it was really painful and still not great so not sure how good Combat will be tonight. Aqua should be fine. The hot tub repaid guy came but did not have a jack so could not get the panel off to fix it. It was not the original person who was due to come so not sure what happened there but he is coming back Wednesday to hopefully fix it. Not sure what happens if it cannot be fixed but lets not go there.

Got 3 meetings today but that is ok, tomorrow we have to do the in person meeting for the Civil Partnership I need to make sure I have all the evidence I need for that but we did check it before so should be fine.

The person I have been mentoring has got her 3rd interview today I really hope it goes well for her!

Anyway best get on with my own stuff. Stay cool out there if you can  B)

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks Anjaleena some good tips there and yes being on the Mortgage Free Roll of Honour is a big deal. I did not know that you could overpay your mortgage and I had not really heard of Martin Lewis until a old workmate told me about MSE and the forums. I started reading on here and helped run the MFi3 thread and managed to pay mine off 9 years early. This was when I was with my ex and be basically just upped the mortgage payments each time we got a pay increase or had a lump sum etc. When we finished paying it off unfortunately I did not carry on saving I really don't know where the money went particularly. What I should have done was up my pension payments and that would then have stopped me from spending. Still I met DG and inherited exDH pensions plus I obviously ended up with the whole house. So yes I have been very lucky as well as putting in some hard graft progressing my career upwards.

Did make it in the pool after work and also to the gym. DG did not go and I missed Combat as I toe still hurts from stubbing it Monday. We now both have a black mark against us for missing a class even though I scanned DG in . We have to be careful not to miss classes now or cancel in time. I could easily have cancelled yesterday I just forgot.

Today is going to the registry office and getting prepared for the Civil Ceremony. We have to take a load of ID in which we have so that is all good. Then I think we will call it a day afterwards and chill by the pool until my course at 6.30. We then have to go and see the neighbours as we are dog sitting from tomorrow night.

No spends yesterday which was great DG did go to Lidl but all we needed was bananas. I was also good with the diet for a change DG less so but I am trying to stay strong. She has PT today so at least that makes up for not going yesterday.

Almost forgot I got an email from the original agent he has been off sick since he got back from holiday so going to speak to him today or tomorrow so that is a good sign. At least when I speak to the next one I know their pricing and I can say I cannot make a decision until Saturday as I have now booked it.

Final bit of news the lady I have just started mentoring got the job after the third interview which is great news.

Hope you manage to stay cool today.

    Quick update:
Original agent called me we negotiated 1% plus VAT. The sell loads around here and I am only tied in 12 weeks no fee and then we can switch for Spring if we prefer. Lots of little jobs now to do before pictures which are on the 9th and it will then list 31st July. Feels really scary to have pulled the trigger but nothing ventured nothing gained.

You maybe are a siliconing expert but mr d says use a rounded stick (like the stick from a Cadbury dairy milk ice cream) to smooth out the silicone.   Less messy than using a finger and you get a uniform shaped finish.
