Morning weekend just went so so quickly and this morning is just so disorganised.
We did not do a lot Saturday watched films and chilled which was much needed. We did get to Bookers and stocked up for Christmas their dishwasher tablets are really good value and we also got the much needed cream eggs for the family. That is more presents sorted.
My charger for my new headphones arrived. £61 and they do not come with a cable. The one it came with is a c something to c something so no use for an actual plus as I do not have the adapter. I only have one C port on my laptop so I need to swap things constantly to charge which is annyong. I do however have a c cable to usb from my phone which I can now use to charge the headphones and I will send back the desktop charger not worth it at £61.
Golf was very wet underfoot but we did not actually get that much from the sky. I played with some nice people but the club house is being redone so no space and there was also the AGM so we went home instead. Got a free mulled wine and the smallest mince pie ever for free.
DG played badly to start with but actually improved and had a fab score over 9 holes. She is getting there at last and did not freak out or pull out.
We then did the mystery shop which was great and easy to do. However this morning I have been trying to format the pictures it just does not want to do it. I have sent a message to say I need help when I last did it you just had to make sure it was the right size now you have to change the resolution to 150 which I cannot work out how to do. I will just have to release it if they do not come back to me.
I also slept badly as DG says I snore so she kept waking me up every time I fell asleep from 3.45 am not what you really need.
My very senior manager is off sick today and I have two meetings with her so they are now cancelled. Just as well as I have a lot to do. I also have my course to catch up on.
Happy Monday everyone.

Forgot to add my !st D regular saver matured so I have moved the money over to my Monzo which pays 4.1%. Due to Christmas etc I am still about £800 off where I would like to be in terms of the £12K for 2023 but there is another payday in December and my credit card has not taken much of a hit as a result. The joint account also owes me £500 so that will help.
Still not heard from Mystery Shopping so annoying if it gets cancelled as I did like to do it every now and then obviously just no good at photo reductions.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Not a good start to the day, MS finally called back and they have gone from 30 staff to 3 so it is all automated and my assignment had been released and given to someone else. He did offer for me to rewrite it but he could not help with the photo's. He was really annoying so I decided to just say leave it and I will not get paid. It was only £17.50 and sometimes life is too short to worry about something like this. It does sound like it was me having an issue as I did see some of the photo's had come over. I understand them automating things as he said 10% never do the assignments but there should be a way to flag the ones where people have added a query especially as I called and I sent a message as they advised.
Anyway lets forget about that.
I did not do the course last night but my head off is still off sick so a meeting has been cancelled this morning so that gives me a bit of time. I do have a late meeting tonight remote at least but it starts at 5pm so I can claim a bit of time back.
Did sleep really well and did not get woken up until 7am which is good for me. Always helps having good sleep when the day starts with a phone call about Mystery Shopping.
DG has still not got access to her files but it is getting restored to read only. She is really fed up but at least the called her to check how she is. Good news is the other start up where she does the quick easy pay work has now agreed she can open up her main work on there. That means she will only be working on one system (once the cases have been run down on the other) and it is far more reliable and much easier to use so that is good news. Unfortunately the company with the cyber attack has some stuff the other ones doesn't such as reference sites etc so she is stuck with it until the other one catch up.
Best crack on with that course as I have been given an 1 hour back with that meeting being cancelled.

On the photo if you are on a mac try going to preview and there are loads of saving dimensions options - sorry only just saw your post
how annoying to do the work though and not get paidYou can buy usb c to or from usb normally tiny mini adaptors for a couple pounds
Or I have a very useful mini adapter that has loads of different inputs - it’s always useful though it was £70
temu do v cheap adaptors and charging banks - as things made in china anyway I figure its fine to buy - 90 days returnDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Sounds annoying on the mystery shop.
Cyber attack stuff is scary when you consider legal companies have people's proof of ID etc.
Glad the golf sessions are improving for DG and therefore for you too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Savingholmes much appreciated.
LAPlan I use a PC type laptop I did buy a MAC but I was not able to get the hang of it at all so never used it. I think it might just have been when I tried to email the photos over as some of them did eventually upload. Still a pain and I am not prepared to do any more as I used to like doing them at the airport and then do the uploads while waiting to board.
I am catching up with work but I have 6 meetings more or less back to back today so no chance to catch up anymore but do finally get to speak to my new line manager and progress some work. All good anyway.
Course I should be able to do tomorrow as it is the official end on Monday and then 2 days later you will not have any more access.
The course asked you to journal more and also self promote yourself on things like LinkedIn etc. I do want to post more on LinkedIn stuff I write and not just liking others. I do feel I journal most days via this and it is helpful. I know it is meant to be about money saving but it is so much more. I really like the comments and reading other peoples diaries. It is also a great way to pick up money saving tips you might miss from the main email.
My new headphones are ace I am glad I sent the charger back it is working fine with my phone lead and DG charges hers every night so she will remind me to do mine as I am quite forgetful like that.
