Thanks they usually reply overnight but not heard anything yet.
We have an offer from work that we can join a dental scheme. I am not sure it is worth it as you pay £175 a year and I would get £130 back for check ups and scale and polish however you can claim for other work. My dentist does their own one where you pay each month and get check ups and scale and polish included plus 10% off any treatment or work. DG is on that one I must ask her how much it is.
Still not had the H*BC bonus but it did say on MSE it can take 20 days so just need to be patient. I still need to spend on my Global card but we are away for the weekend so that should be easily done.
Sold another item on Vinted that is £8 and less clutter. I have sold for £17 now which is so much better than having those items clutter my draws up. DG has just posted the last one so that is great it is on its way now. Really need to list some more.
The mulch arrived and is being moved into bags so I can put it on the garden. There does not look like there is enough but we shall see. I am hoping I can cover everything at 5cm to 7cm depth incl the pots.
Just had my 1st meeting with my new line manager. She is very organised and happy to meet in the same slot and my old one. She is much more experienced than my old one (been in the team years but only been a manager 18 months). She is really nice and I think we will work well together.
I am on video 6 for the course when I should be on 21 for the end of this week. I will get some done today as I have time. I do have a work call which should be interesting too.
Anyway best get back to the course have a lovely Wednesday everyone please tell me off if I do not make gym tonight at 6pm.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Good luck with the mulching.
I am glad you like and respect your new boss. It makes a huge difference if you get on.
Best of luck with the videos. I finished early today - just wasn't in the mood - but I worked late yesterday and Monday so it pretty much balances out.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SavingHolmes yes it does make a huge difference I shall enjoy having someone who actually knows what they are doing. Saying that the other one was good at getting me thinking and approaching the problems.
Did not go to the gym last night yes so bad but we are doing 2 classes today. I just do not seem capable of not eating junk in the evenings that is why late gym classes are even more important. Did go to Lidl and luckily most of the Scandi stuff had sold out so only got a few bits.
Light company has come back they are sending out the lights. I am hoping for 3 lights not just the two I sent back (my friend threw the 3rd useless set away it was a gift). If they do send them I will re-gift that set to her when we go and see her in a couple of weeks if she promises to post them back to crap light company.
DG is really struggling the firm she is a consultant to has had something happen to their servers/Cloud so she has been without email access for 1 day and still no access to any files. I recon they have been hacked you do not have a power outage for that long. We shall wait and see.
We are off to the gym for two classes in a minute will be good to get back into it and then lots of meetings and work this afternoon.
I am now on video 8 so we will see how much I manage to catch up today. The idea is you do section every day which is usually 3 to 4 video and some sort of journalling which is why it takes a while to do. On top of that your have a weekly pod cast, 1 hours live webinar and some small groups meeting up. It is good and well worth it.
New energy supplier has taken the first payment so I could do with the credit from the old one rather pronto.

So it is Friday and even Black Friday. I have so far only bought on thing and that was our joint Christmas present a thermagun as we tried one at bootcamp and they are amazing. We got the larger one and it was same price as the small one was when we looked last Summer so seem to be a deal.
I forgot to put my hair appointment in my diary so I have a meeting right beforehand which means I wont make it down to where my salon is. I have asked if we can move the meeting but not had a reply. Worst case scenario I have to travel down there and find somewhere to have the meeting. Fingers crossed she can move it or at least sees my email.
Last night the diet went out of the window big time as DG snagged a TOTG bag from Krispy Kreme. for £4.40 we got 6 donuts they were yummy and we only have 2 left for today. We are away for the weekend but need to try to be good or it will just spiral out of control.
Still not got the mulch bag and pallet moved off the drive but hopefully do a bit more today as I am getting there. Gym was hard yesterday and I ache today. Just as well we have the massage gun (yes it is not going to Denmark to go under the tree that is just silly) which we are using.
Got a work trip on Monday morning super early so I need to book my train ticket for that. There are rail replacement busses on my line so we are driving to a bigger station and having to park there while away. An annoying extra expense as it is free to park at ours and we can walk back. I was not planning on drinking much Sunday anyway as I have that early meeting and with lots of travel.
My mum sent me a thing she wanted for Christmas. I kid you not it was an electric toothbrush for £60 down from £110 I kid you not why would you spend that much on a toothbrush! We are planning on giving her a google home (they do not have amazon in Denmark so no point in getting an Alexa) and some light bulbs as she is quite into technology and she has to go around and switch all her lights off at night. She also has several alarms a day on her phone to remind her to take medication so I think this would help with that too. Plus it is easier to ask google than type some thing. I also want to make a photo book of the picture from our trip in the Summer with all of us.
My sister I have no idea, the kids usually want money but I might get some t-shirts or something in their favorite brands. My dad no idea, my friend really not sure but she usually sends a list although I wont see her until after Christmas.
That is it I do not need to buy any other presents which is quite nice. DG does not have anyone else to buy for either we are not getting her young cousin anything this year. It is her birthday in early December so we usually combine presents in previous years she has had an Ipad, and Xbox etc but she cannot even say thank you. She is going to be 11 so there is no excuse just crap parents. Only time they get in touch is near her birthday to ensure a present then we do not hear from them rest of the year. I think they have twigged we are not giving them anything this year as I have already said last year we did not even get a thank you despite giving the present in person to the girl. I cannot be asked with people like that. I am seeing DGs aunt after my hair cut. She is of the same selfish ilk as her brother (DG's mums sibling) but she is very frail and her daughter is really horrible so we do feel sorry for her. Families why are they so complicated.Save £12k in 25 No 49

I'd be naffed off too. I hand sewed a gift for my littlest nephew last year and got zero acknowledgement. I can't imagine giving more expensive gifts and getting no thanks.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Gosh - I'd be so embarrassed if my kids didn't say thank you for a gift at all. I certainly never would expect expensive ones either.

Thanks QJ and SH I am glad I am not the only one who thinks children of a certain age can say thank you themselves.
So much has happened I did start a post but lost it yesterday while on a train.
We had a brilliant weekend a bit spendy but it could have been a lot lot worse. The hotel we paid for mainly with Tesco voucher while they were still x 3 so we only had to add £30 for the room upgrade (£90 in vouchers). Upgrade was worth it as we did spend quite a bit of time in the room. We found out when we got there they had two free drag shows Sat and one on Sunday so that was a massive bonus as we love RuPaul and all things drag. We did some sightseeing, went on the pier as you do in Brighton. Checked in and left our bags before heading out for early dinner. Went to Bella Italia used our 1 free main meal and it was a lovely restaurant and the town was busy so glad we had booked. The pizza were great too. We then stopped for a drink in the lanes before heading back to the hotel. the show didn't start until 10pm so had some drinks in room and smuggled a water bottle of vodka in so we could buy mainly coke but a few single too. The show was great, I felt really at ease in the nightclub which was in the hotel spoke to lots of people just good fun and went to bed at 2am.
Sunday we went out for breakfast very hungover before meeting my colleague and husband for Sunday lunch. The food was fab and the company great. We did went back to see the Sunday drag show before coming back totally spent on the train.
I then had to get up at 5am yesterday to travel with work. It was a long day but I was back by 4pm and I did get a Costa on expenses plus some Greggs but I had left my phone behind so could not claim the stamps in the app most annoying.
We really want to go back to Brighton we have been talking about it since we met 10 years ago so about time we made it. Just the best weekend.
In other money news (and for a change there are lots of it). I have got my £50 Octo money happy days thank you VFC. I have also had the £125 from H*BC switch but managed to spend on the global card so the £80 should be on its way.
Also got accepted for the Insider test of headphones they arrive tomorrow and will cost my £55 after the £86 refund so quite good for a pair I need to pay for myself and hopefully they will be much more comfortable and I can walk around during calls.
Also had my first order tracked on Airtimes, DGs has not tracked so we might miss out on the £5 refer a friend bonus which is annoying. She will put in a claim.
Also in other exciting stuff DG dad was born in Northern Ireland so we always thought you could not get an Irish passport. However due to the Good Friday agreement there might be a way even if he was not an Irish citizen at the time of her birth. Some more to look into but how amazing would that be if we did not have to go through all of that Danish immigration stuff. That would remove so much hassle. Her cousins in Scotland is looking into the same thing as their dad was also born in Ireland before the family moved back to Scotland.
Busy week ahead of me obviously no gym yesterday but two classes tomorrow night and two Thursday morning plus golf Saturday and Sunday.
Got most of my families wishlists so can start shopping and hopefully get it delivered to my sisters.

Hello - just delurking to say I agree that DG can definitely get Irish citizenship as her dad was born on the island of Ireland. According to this text from the Citizens Information.ie site ('If you were born outside of Ireland, you are automatically an Irish citizen by birth if either one of your parents was born in Ireland and was entitled to Irish citizenship'), it looks as if she may not even need to apply for the citizenship, as her dad would have been entitled to it even if he didn't officially have it, but it's all quite complicated so would need checking for sure! I recently got my foreign birth registration (which was a bit of a hassle as loads of documents are required) followed by Irish passport (very easy indeed) through my Irish-born grandfather, so I've read up a lot on it over the last few years
great news for you both and for your plans to move to Denmark!

Such great news about the Irish passport thing!
Fellow all things drag lover here. I saw Lady Bunny in July in London - brilliant, very funny and very very very filthy (and I say that having seeing a lot of shows/fringe/comedy/drag/cabaret/burlesque) over the years in all kinds of clubs across the world.
She out filthed Joan Rivers by miles.
TOTG bag from Krispy Kreme???!!! - sounds beyond dangerous ... luckily I am GF so I dont even look .... I have realised if I buy junk I eat it. Therefore I need to have discipline in the SM.
You bought a niece an ipad and she didnt say tx! Wow... . I think you should repeat to the parents how you feel it is not training their daughter to be a generous kind grateful human being ...it is an important lifeskill
I do spend a LOT on my DS kids (witness my 'a certain premier league football club' kit buying for one yesterday - at least with BF reductions but I see them regularly and they are appreciative.
Though my niece's Xmas list is getting remarkably more expensive now she is a teenager and discovered Tiktok - however it is my job to make her see brands are not always where fashion and coolness is at. I am a very cool aunt as I know you both are.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
