So true Tahlullah I have still not taken it to the shop to be returned but it now has an envelope on it. Must do it today.
So we made it to Friday still coughing and feeling rough but better. Even made it in the hottub last night as the rain stopped for long enough and it was actually nice must be 2 weeks since we last used it not good.
Got a meeting with my manager today and I have told her I want to talk about what happened in the last team meeting. I am not looking forward to it but my colleague who is same level as me has already had the conversation so it needs doing. I think she will be ok but it is not going to be easy.
Going to work on my second frog workwise, the first one is ok I will leave it as it is for now and my manager can pull it apart if she wants to it really is my weakest link.
Just talking about small wins on the course, I thought I would do a couple:
Took stuff to the tip yesterday
Done Duolingo Spanish for 135 days now
It is finally sunny today so I can get outside
I am really struggling to focus on the second big frog as I do not feel I have done enough on the first one. Just had a conversation with course mates and someone said you should apply the 1 3 5 principle. Get 1 big things done and then 3 smaller and 5 tiny things a day. Maybe that is why I cannot do the 2 big ones but I have had all week so no excuse really.
Oh to be retired living in Denmark would be just amazing but then again I cannot wish my life away. Order some hair products from Boots yesterday online. It is coming via Royal Mail and typically we are not in Saturday so have changed it to Monday. Got some cheap stuff in Lidls last night that will keep me going at least. Right back to work killing that frog.

Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Happy Monday everyone!
We had a lovely time meeting friend with her puppy had quite a few drinks but not London prices so that was good. Had brunch and then bought some Greggs so cheap as we only had one meal. No shopping done either as I actually did not need anything. We have booked to meet her again for a local Christmas market we were going to anyway so cheap by train anyway.
Sunday we were meant to play golf but it was not nice so cancelled and did some sewing instead. It was more of an experiment using stuff I had been given or had left over. Lots of learn but it was great to slowly get back into it again and working out how to use my machine. Might make some napkins to go with my sisters table cloth but need to order some cotton for the overlocker first.
DG was meant to play golf with our team an hour away but it was cancelled as it was so wet. She has now gone to play at our club and we can then have lunch when she is back. She spent all day yesterday doing her accounts. It was a years worth so which is so bad but all done and I think she feels better about it being done.
Work is going to be busy today but did a session on my course this morning it was really good and inspiring. I am a bit behind as I should watch 1 video a day and I think I have only done 3 so 4 behind. They are not long so should be able to catch up. There is also a podcast.
Used my new card and changed the pin Saturday so now just waiting for the other card and then I can use that 5 times which should then get me both bonuses.
Still not had a refund from my faulty lights said 5 working days so still time. I am not letting that go.
Right best get on with some work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Morning DG was up at 5am working today but I did go back to sleep thankfully. I think it is starting to affect me that I have been so slack at the gym I have another headache today which I do not usually get at all.
Still no refund for the lights but I have had the £10.99 back for the useless tape dispenser and tape. We don't actually need tape and I have not sold any more on Vinted so that is all good. I do have a pair of headphones and an old (5 years) hardly used IMac laptop I could sell not sure if Vinted or musicmagpie would be best.
I also need to look into Octopus Energy as I am sure Shell is going over to them there was something in Martin's email about a friends and family referral. I do not think there is a referrers board anymore but I must look it up.
Did get quite a lot of work done yesterday but another area is about to become huge. It is a good area for me to work on but I have a lot to learn so really need to get myself organised and work out my timescales for each bit of the project.
My course is really good I still have a lot to do on it did get some done yesterday including record a video of myself which was horrible as I feel so fat and my hair needs a cut (booked in). Anyway it is all about raising confidence so guess that is the whole point.
Also one of my projects is a massive worry and I have just taken on two new ones so that is tricky but fingers crossed it will all work out. If they do not want our help we cannot do a lot but right now they are actively ignoring me.
Garden is looking great all ready for Winter although I should put down some mulch might get some delivered and spread it all out it is a while since I did any for the whole thing. Look forward to seeing the allium bulbs and verbena come up in spring the purple colour will really add to the back garden which is a bit bland at certain times of the year.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Best of luck with the projects. It's tricky when clients are putting their fingers in their ears and proverbially not listening.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Morning thanks for the helps with switching all done and account set up. I did actually also notice when I logged into Shell they mentioned Oct*** not seen that on there before. Handy little earner of £50 much appreciated for 5 min of work.
Much better weather here today I will try to get more of my tender plants moved into shelter today so they are ready for the Winter. I did place a big order for mulch yesterday as the garden is now all tidy and weedfree so it needs a good layer of protection ready for the Winter incl the pots and raised beds. Made sense to order a big 900 litre bag. Staying on garden chat the council is cutting the field behind us so I am expecting rodents to be brought into the house. Usually they are dead when the cutters have been out but I shall keep an eye out for live ones.
We forgot to order our weekly Asda order so we really do need to go to Lidl's this evening however I should also be going to the gym. Lets see what happens later!
Re the projects and the client has now at least been in touch with my colleague so hopefully I will get an update and know if it is going forward or will be closed. If it closes it will not be good as they need support but we cannot force them.
There was a job opportunity in my team that was perfect for a person who left us last year as the role did not work out for her. She is just so talented and I got her a job when she left with a client of mine. She then left that so I knew is was available but she has two interviews lined up but might consider our 3 month job. It is well paid and she would be fantastic at it and produce some really good work. I hope she goes for it but if the other jobs are permanent she might go for them I guess. Would be fab to work with her again plus she would actually be able to work out of our Northern office which I know she would enjoy a lot.
Need to get some work done I have my course session soon so want to get ahead if I can.Save £12k in 25 No 49

My ex colleague got the job they applied for so she turned us down. Now if they had gone to her first it would have been different but I am pleased she did get the job. Unfortunately she also told me that their final attempt on IVF had ended in miscarriage after a few weeks. They have been trying for years so I am so sad for them as they now contemplate life without kids. So hard to write that reply something I have never had to endure.
Got my expenses for September paid I will be travelling at the end of this month and in December so a couple more chances to earn coffee stamps.
Still no refund from the faulty lights I am not letting it drop and they do reply quite quickly when you email them. Fingers crossed they do that this time I need my money back even if it is only for 2 out of the 3 I bought.
Work has gone a bit manic I have meetings back to back from 1pm to 4pm this afternoon and lots of prep to do. Tomorrow is looking better. I have been helping a person who reached out to me on LinkedIn get into my line of work. He has an interview today at 11.30 and he wants to chat at the weekend. I am not keen but it is kind of my own fault. I have let him down gently I think he is ok but just so not my type of person a bit too self obsessed. I obviously hope he gets the job.
We did get to Lidl last night picked up sourdough loaf for free with the app and well on the way to the next one. They had a few Scandi products which got me very excited especially the hot dogs.
Forgot to post this this morning so I can now update that I have heard from the lights people. They could not refund me via Paypal as it was over 6 months ago so would I like a replacement. I had to write a polite reply that no I would not like that and I did not pay by Paypal plus the one replacement I did have was rubbish exactly the same as the others.
Also got a message from my friend who took in my cats when I moved to London. The last one who is 14 is off to the vets for his one way trip. I felt so sad reading it as I obviously loved him so much but he has had a good life for the last 7 years with my friend and the first 7 with me. I will miss the big lovely sweet Mainecoon but he will be with his brother now and maybe my ex so hopefully they can live on there somehow. Did give my own two a big cuddle as I felt so sad.

Thank you very much you’ve been around a while lol. Well he’s still around some sort of neurological issue in anti biotics see how he is tomorrow. They suggested mri scan that’s £2k plus vet fees. He’s 14 and would need general anaesthetics. That’s crazy isn’t it? I think it’s kinder to let him go.Save £12k in 25 No 49
