HSBC account applied for took less than 5 min and now to wait 10 days for them to set it up. I will not move from my main account with 1stD as I do like the way they work however I might use the save £250 at 5% instead of Premium Bonds (if I DG is going to be ok with paying joint bills obviously) We shall see also depends if I was to get that payout from my late exdh that would be helpful too.

Morning just typing this while I listen to a webinar (bad I know). Not a lot to update but no I did not get to the gym last night we had far too much lunch so I just could not face it. The instructor was away for the 8am class but I did go to the 9am class which means I have done 2 this week far short of the 6.
The envelopes for my Vinted sales should come today and I looked at the app yesterday and yes I did order two items which was £20 but it is blue shorts and capri pants from Joules I have struggled to get last year. One pair is new so quite cheap still. I need navy blue for Club golf matches.
DG has managed to earn what she needs for the bills this month so that is really good. I think she just gets overwhelmed but she is really good and she does work hard so hopefully this startup she is working with will continue to value her.
She is really lucky she got that 6 months free printing as this new work does need a lot of printing so that is a real saving actually of about £30 a month or so.
Sent the videos and pictures to the garden expert she saw the garden when we first moved in so when she replied back "your from garden looks amazing! You've used the space really well with the raised beds". I was really happy with that.
It is lovely and sunny today so I have a dark wash on incl some mats from the kitchen that are looking worse for wear but might come up nice in the wash.
You can really see the lovely Autumn colours nice which is lovely. I hope the weather stays nice for our trip to London which is this weekend.
I made some pesto with the rocket and got in my half price odd box. I added some of my parsley too but DG does not like it but hopefully she might like when added with hummus. I also washed and blanched the kale so it could be frozen and used for creamed kale (Danish recipe). At least that ensures it does not go to waste. I hate food waste it is the worst. I moan everyday when the big cat wont eat his wet food and dg just gives him a different type of packet. So wasteful and expensive.

ey tested a Vax spot cleaner. Well we were both surprised it was £100 only and our cats keep being sick on the rugs and carpets (never on the wooden floor or tiles). We got one on Amazon and it is so good it really works and the stains are gone. We could do with getting the carpets done and then just keep on top of things with the Vax it is only for spots really but so good.
Payday for me today so will do some money shuffling and make sure I can clear my credit card. Joint finances are ok just about for another week as we got the credit for the car service plan. Best get my water bottle filled up and ready for gym they are starting road works today so it might be slow.
Hope you all have a lovely Monday.2025 decluttering: 3,993🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

QueenJess your company sounds awful from reading your diary I hope you get out when you can. There are better employer out there.
Ladywithaplan thanks for popping in yes it is lovely that one I keep finding so many but it is good as there will still be loads when we are ready to move. Good thing we are flexible on area. It is quite a small Island in UK terms.
Soup is great for using up stuff I love it. DG does not like soup unless it is super cold. I also find now with the airfryer you can roast a small amount and then make a small batch rather than wait until you have loads.
Did go to Lidl last night got loads of halloween sweets so much cheaper in Lidl just buying the normal range. I bet the kids do not care. Almost bought a pumpkin but decided it is a waste so will just light some lanterns and put outside the door. I do love their sourdough it is so nice in Lidl and it is often the last thing left when you shop late.
DG got up super early but I have just say down at my desk. I have 3 meetings today so will be a busy one but hopefully all good and then clock off for the weekend. I have got a TGTG bag from M&S tonight hoping it wont be cancelled. It would be really handy to get some stuff to take with us to eat on the train going up to London tomorrow. Sadly we are now not meeting any friends but we were a bit slow getting it organised considering how long we have known about it. Still be nice to do something just with DG.
We have had a lot of rain already but hopefully it will stay dry for the practise session DG is doing with the club team. I do hope she plays well. Right best crack on with work.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Well here is a giggle for you. I read DG only likes soup when it is really cold - as like me she likes gazpacho soup not only likes soup when the weather is really cold. Reading comprehension was never my best, I seem to be far too literal.

Took me a while but I got there eventually lol
.
On the train to London it’s packed with people going to some sort of game. I don’t think it’s football as no shirts or scarfs. Mainly blokes so guessing rugby but busy busy. The tgtg was a bit rubbish but there was one sandwich which we have taken with us. We did have a nice golf practise last night no hissy fits which was nice.Got my sewing bits delivered and the envelopes for sending my Vinted stuff so no excuse now not to get it listed.Have a lovely Saturday.Save £12k in 25 No 49

The England Argentina rugby was being played in Paris last night. It was the playoff for 3rd place. Maybe it was folk travelling to that?
The final is tonight in Paris as well (New Zealand South Africa). Ask me how I know? Lol, seems to have been a never ending stream of rugby games on since the world cup started in September. Mr daisy watches that and the 6 nations so overall its not a lot of hours the tv is 'booked'. (Thank goodness neither of us can bear football, that sounds like a full time job watching all the football games that are on)
Enjoy your trip

Thanks Daisy it turns out Pompey is playing Reading but because they predict trouble hardy anyone was wearing shirts so that’s why we couldn’t work it out. Still super busy past Basingstoke but less hectic now at least.Save £12k in 25 No 49
