Thanks QueenJess glad I’m not the only one finding them a bit much. Forgot to post this earlier.

I could not load the form with the dates and times for the AI thing but they sent another one so I have given a few. Tricky when its only 5 days and today is day 1 and we have a weekend and a Bank Holiday so who knows if I get selected.

Did some stone shovelling there is a lot more to do but it makes it look nicer so worth it. Fitted a flynet to our door to stop things coming in problem is that it also stops cats going in or out. It is too big but at least I can see if it works if not get something else it is actually slightly too big. There is a curtain track still on the door so I think those handy things with strips might actually work for that door. Need to look into it if this temp solution does not work I do not really want it on the actual painted wall with the black sticker it comes with.

DG wants to go and play some golf which will be nice as it is really hot today.

Back home now actually quite tired but was good to get out and hit some golf balls

If you cut a small hole at the base of the flynet would that work? Things rarely fly low down and the cats could come and go as they would like ?? Just an idea.

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Glad you are still enjoying the golf and having competitive opportunities.

I can see that it is a balance between being nice to have money coming on from DG's job - but a pain when in person visits are required.

You sound like you are getting your home really nice.

Thanks Savingsholmes lovely to "hear from you" I know you are so so busy. Yes I am enjoying the more competitive golf we played yesterday together and I did not play very well but met more people so that was good.

It did rain a bit but not too bad but OMG that course is hard to walk 18 holes that was the first time we did it. Even got to see a bit of professional bike racing. Saturday was also lovely as we went to my aunts 95th birthday. My dad is one of 11 and turns out he is the only one that suffers with dementia none of the others. So annoying actually. There were 6 cousins there out of 35 (some have passed so less than 35 now but not sure if the actual number). Went with sister and BIL nice day out to another part of the country.

Today is not a Bank Holiday here but DG wants to have the day off. She is at Danish lesson now and I was supposed to the AI work but the woman I was paired up with had crap internet and could not do the recoding most annoying as I wanted it done and dusted. Anyway went to the neighbours to wish them welcome but they were not home eventhough I was sure I had seen them just now. Must be out but doors open so a bit strange.

Anyway will have to do it later now as we are golfing at 2pm.

Ginger cat is on the mend he came in Saturday with a cut on his face bleeding. He is such a wuss so he scratched it and it got swollen. It had just happened when we notice as he had been on DGS lap all evening until that point. Might have been an absess from the fight or maybe he just cut himself. We gave him some painkiller and its looking a lot better does not seem to be an infection but will take him to the vet if needed.

I have done my marketing for today and hopefully we will do the AI recording tomorrow. I really wanted to make it a regular thing its quite easy too. We shall see not a great start.

Well yesterday was a bit of an eventful day actually. We did go and play golf which was lovely and we did have late lunch afterwards. While out playing in pinged on my phone that I have got an appointment tomorrow to speak about the cyst they found so that was actually super quick.

When we got home I took the flowers over the the new neighbours as they moved in Friday. I was invited in but just spoke on the door step. Well they blurted out that they had just had to have their dog put down. Now this was a pointer who was not good with cats so we knew they were concerned and had planned to fence the whole garden in. Well they said my ginger cat had been behind our bin shed when they walked passed and there was an incident. The dog was used to running free on their previous property which was a massive farm. She said we do not want to fall out with you and it had 6 good years but it was the best option.

I was absolutely in shock that was very drastic as the incident would have been Saturday night when ginger came in with a cut to his face. They obviously did not try to rehome it or it was not possible. He did say it was highly strung and they did not have it around when we had the party at their so maybe it was a tricky dog but still it was too much. Still at least our kitties and that of the neighbour are safe but not what we would have wanted.

Today I have the recording of the AI from yesterday because the other woman's internet really was not up to it. So annoying as I have a webinar at 3pm and going out just before 4pm so really had hoped it could have been done yesterday. Why you would sign up for something like that if your internet is not up to it is beyond me.

This evening is golf for me and DG but at different times so she had to drop me off. We should be able to go home together.

Tomorrow is that medical appointment which I think must be a pre-op and then golf in the evening. We also have golf on Friday night with dinner so I get out of doing the pool bar meal for DG. She knows we are going out Saturday but has no idea about the hotel etc.

I do also need to shovel some more stones and cut the lawn but with the meeting in 45 min that now seems unlikely. The other woman is really slow so who knows how long it will take us to do the recordings. They also have to be saved in a certain convention.

Well that IA recording meeting was a waste of time the woman cancelled just before the call. They offered to find me someone else I said yes and then they said or can you find someone. I have messaged my niece shes at college so might not see the message. They have given me two days extra to do the job which is not long but hopefully my niece is up for it and it sounds like they do not have many to chose from.

We've been invited to a 60th birthday party in early August the flights are £140 so not too expensive. We can rent our friend mobile home possibly. I think that would work better than me going over in July when DG is working and shes not even there to enjoy the mobile home so that's now cancelled and I have asked if it is available for a few days in August.

Thanks beanielou we both feel awful about it and there must have been more to it. They moved in Friday and it happened on the Saturday. They have been coming here for the last 6 months while the house was being built.

My niece has agreed to do the Ai work with me so we should get it done on Thursday I am just waiting for her to register.

Today I was planning to wash the windows but we must have lost our window cleaning stuff in the move so need to get some first. Pre op appointment is at 2pm and its about 30 min away so I want to leave in plenty of time as I have never been before and I do not know how easy it is to park.

Anyway I wil go and shovel some more stones might as well as no window cleaning for me.

Pre op went really well lovely modern hospital almost deserted where I was. Dr and nurse so polite and reassuring it was almost too much. I will get a secure email with my appointment date which will take place in a monthly time. Then the day before I will get told what time to get there. If I cannot make the appointment they can just move it. I went to the shops afterwards and got some bits and bobs to make into a hamper for DG. It is mainly stuff we would both use but also some sweets she likes. Will just be nice to have something on the day to give her. I need to wrap it up when she is at her Danish lesson tomorrow only chance I have so it is hidden now. She is terrible with surprises.

I got a scraper and extension pole so can now clean them all. It is only a bungalow so should not be too difficult. Had a window cleaner always but too much money here.

Sorted cardboard to go to tip and there is plenty to be getting on with in the garden. I am really enjoying all the things coming up in the garden. Lilly of the Valley is the latest that is on its way. We had that at our last house in England so thats quite nice.

Need to check some work for DG so only a quick check in. She has got her bank account, medical records, mobile pay and much more all set up. Next big step is the taxman.
