Morning all, happy Friday eve. Another week is flying by!
WFH again today. I woke up at 3.45, went back to sleep and didn't wake up until 5.45. Had to quickly get up as I was aware the Mr M delivery was arriving 6-7. As it happened it didn't arrive until nearer 7 so I had time to read my book and enjoy a leisurely coffee first.
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, kettlebells at lunchtime and Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is spicy garlic prawn linguine with spinach. The recipe is based on an idea in the Waitr0se paper but using ingredients I have in stock rather than the ready prepared ones suggested in this recipe and I'll make my own arrabbiata sauce. I've already made a meal plan for next week using recipes from a Mr T magazine, looking forward to making a few different things.
Formulating a to do list for the bank holiday weekend. Unfortunately the weather doesn't look great but I've plenty of indoor jobs to do. Mr SA's wardrobe desperately needs clearing out and tidying up. I keep asking him to do it, it's not as if he doesn't have time, but he won't do anything unless I'm helping. I know he's limited to what he can do but it would really help if he could at least do something, unfortunately he doesn't do anything other than make a mess. I know it's to do with his brain damage; the neurologist said the part of his brain that controls motivation has been damaged.

Glad to hear that the dog is well on the mend.
We had to buy ours an inflatable donut type thing that went around his neck when he had an op. He wouldn't/couldn't walk with the cone of shame on4 -
Got the results back from the mammogram I went for last Thursday and all is clear so that's good. Although I wasn't particularly worried you just never know. Last time I went for one a couple of years ago, a woman at work was there the same time as me and it was unfortunately it wasn't good news for her. She's fine now though after treatment.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

I had one recently too, @Sun_Addict, & even though there weren't any adverse symptoms or suspicions on my part, I still worry until that all-clear letter arrives, so was pleased to see it.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

I think everyone worries after mammogram or smear. Glad to hear your mammogram was clear.2

That was quick! And great that all's well. Not heard from mine yet but I think they take a while here.
On the other hand, I booked a phone appointment with the GP yesterday and today the receptionist rang me to ask if I wanted to change it to face to face. That's just the opposite from what so many people experience on here that I thought I'd mention it actually can happen. I think our surgery is pretty good at strategic thinking and spotting trends and we've benefitted from that.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Friday 🥳🥂💃
Worked in the office today until lunchtime then logged off and called it a day. When I walked into the office at 7.30 it was deserted. I had to double check I hadn’t gone in on a Saturday by mistake 😆 No one appeared until 10 ish it was really strange.I asked Mr SA to meet me at Lid! at 2 but he wasn’t there and wasn’t answering his phone. By the time I’d done my shopping I could see him in the distance. He’d been asleep and arrived on his scooter with a sleep creased face. He was fast asleep when I left this morning and didn’t even wake when I was blow drying my hair. He seems to be sleeping more than usual so will keep an eye on him as this is how he was when his Lymphoma started.I bought a spray watering thing from lid! for the garden and it’s brilliant. Mr SA has watered the plants without drowning everything and it uses a lot less water than a watering can. It’s also easier for him to use.Tonight’s dinner is lightly dusted fish with swede chips and steamed veg.
Exercise was walking to/from work 20,639 steps.Looking forward to putting my feet up later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Hope Mr SA is ok. When my mum had her brain tumour problems, she would always start sleeping more when there was a problem, turned out she kept getting Hydrocephalis (not sure that's spelt correctly), and they had to put a stent in to drain fluid from the brain. Then every time it clogged up again, she would start with symptoms again and they had to drain it. Might me worth keeping an eye on, just in case. xMaking the debt go down and savings go up

@Makingabobor2 Mr SA has a shunt fitted to drain fluid build up. Blood cancer makes you feel very tired and sleepy so a symptom to watch for. When he first started with it he slept most of the time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
