Happy Saturday 🥂What a beautiful sunny day it is.
Did a ClubFit class this morning then we set off for our double whammy flu/Covid jabs. Got back home and took the dog on the park. So that was 20,000 steps done before lunch.Sticking numbers on the tombola prizes tomorrow is cancelled as the woman who has them is unwell. I might not feel well enough tomorrow anyway if I get the jab after effects again.Had the monthly statement from 🐙 and we are now over £600 in credit. That will help during the colder months.Randomly given 3 days free super Duolingo this morning, not hit a milestone or anything 🤔Had a good clearout in the greenhouse after lunch so Mr SA will have a shock when he goes to water everything later 😆 I picked all the tomatoes, peppers and chillies. Something has been eating some of the peppers so threw them away after salvaging a few. All the plants are in the garden waste bin now they were past their best and I doubt they would’ve produced anything else. The green tomatoes have gone in a brown paper bag with an apple as this worked well last year to ripen them. The strawberries seem to have had a second wind and a couple are almost ripe. I still need to tidy the shelves but it looks a lot better already.Tonight’s dinner is pizza and salad and Prosecco is in the fridge waiting for Strictly.Must do the ironing now, feel like I’m starting to flag a bit.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
I had the same from Duolingo a few weeks ago, I never worked out why. I'm quite interested in their new music lessons when they come available but I don't expect it will give me a talent I didn't have in the first place!
Well done on the £600 credit, that's super-useful.
My strawberries - or I should say, 'strawberry' - is having a second wind too. We never had many tomatoes and the ones still on the plant are very green so I'll try the paper bag and apple trick too, thanks.
I hope the jabs treat you better this year.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

A quiet day here but did manage to get two loads of washing dried on the line.
It's the wee things

Any washing dried on the line is a bonus this time of year.So far the arm where I had the Covid jab is hurting but the flu jab arm is ok. My immune system must be thinking hang on what’s going on here then 😆 I don’t feel great, hot then cold and a bit of headache and generally achy. I had the Pfizer today and recall feeling rough around 12 hours after the jab last time.Did anyone notice how bright the sun was around 5pm - just wow! I know it’s because of the eclipse.Mr SA has expressed an interest in going to see Strictly when they go on tour. Pre illness he wouldn’t have it on the TV, dismissed it as rubbish and I had to watch it in secret. When he came out of hospital I made it clear that this was a Strictly house now in his absence. He has finally admitted he enjoys it - the battle has been won 💪 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Forgot to say at the jab clinic this morning there were two queues one for over 65s and one for under 65s. Of course I got in the wrong queue and the bloke behind me tapped me on the shoulder and said no way are you over 65 so had to move. A woman in the under 65s queue was asked to move because, as they said, she wishes she was under 65 😆 They did ask me to justify why I thought I was eligible for both jabs though and had to say I was a carer. I thought this was on my records 🤔 No one questioned Mr SA although they asked how long it had been since his stem cell transplant. If it had been recent he would’ve had to have a stronger dose apparently.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

So I wonder if over 65's are getting a stronger dose?I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
