Not surprised you're looking forward to your beach tip - it feels like ages since I've been near the coast. we're planning a trip one day over the easter break which should get us some vitamin-sea so that will be good!
Ouch to your council tax increase - I'm expecting about £35 extra a month on ours, it wouldn't be quite so much but with the house move we ended up paying over 11 months this year and now it will revert back to 10.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

It is frustrating. To be fair to the school, they rarely change the prices, I think it's only been done once since little jwil was there. But yes, it all comes at once!WinterWarrior said:The increases are annoying, especially the school as you would think they’d know how their prices can impact on the parents budgets and the children’s well-being. It just feels like as soon as something goes up everything else follows 😖
The beach is something lovely to look forward to.

I'm just reading back. I've missed so much!
the weather holds for the beach. Although I'm weird and love the beach in 'bad' weather too
We don't care about the weather on the beach either, it's just nice to be there! "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Another better night's sleep last night, with only a couple of coughing fits. Hopefully it's well on the way out now. I'm so tired though, I just dream of a day where I don't have to rush around or go anywhere! Hopefully the visit to the coast will blow the cobwebs away!
A meeting last thing today gave me even more work on a short deadline, so that has ruined my sense of achievement today and put me on edge for next week. I also dropped a jar of pickled onions out of the cupboard and broke a brand new bowl grrr.
It appears that work is struggling to find the details of my TUPE record for my VR quote. I'm still not going for VR, but it's even more important that I get it sorted now in case it's compulsory later on in the year. It's all very frustrating.
At least it's Thursday though and I shall try and park my woes until next week. Tomorrow is a bit of tidying and sorting things out. Little miss is off to swimming in a bit and then I can chill."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". It's so nice to feel human again!
I'm trying to whip around and clean/tidy the house this morning, so that it feels tidy and I can relax over the weekend. I'm also hoping to sneak a cheeky hour with a book before the school run as well.
I've done the bathroom, cleared the floordrobe in our bedroom and got the towels in the wash. Going to hoover upstairs in a sec. I've also made a start on the kitchen, so need to finish that and hoover downstairs. I've also started tackling some of the dumping grounds so will continue with that as well. Little jwil did a token tidy of his room earlier, though his never gets very messy. Little miss's is a disaster zone, so I might have a stab at at least clearing the floor enough to hoover."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
