I sold a big item yesterday, so a lovely big PAD today! I sent £100 to PB, some to savings and a little to the mortgage as well. Very pleased about that, the item has been on for months so it was a nice surprise.
I slept better last night thankfully, so hopefully can have a nice productive day today and enjoy my day off. The kids are both in afterschool clubs, so I get an extra hour before I need to collect them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". After thinking about it for ages, I have finally kondoed my clothes!
I did pull them all out and look through them together. I have been quite strict as well, and stuff I have kept before (and not worn) has gone, as well as stuff I like but is getting a bit worn. I've still got plenty there, so I'm not leaving myself short. I did bear in mind that regardless, I tend to wear the same few items over and over, so I know I don't need loads. There are a few bits that I kept but might go in the future, and some that I kept that I will probably get rid of after the winter and replace for next year.
I've also got rid of loads of socks I was keeping until they are worn out, but I don't like the way they feel, so never wear them so they aren't getting worn out 😆🤦♀️
I've got two big bags to go so will take them to the clothing bank at school later.
I've also treated a couple of areas in our bedroom with mould spray. One area was from when our gutters were leaking I think, and we've now had it fixed. I cleaned it before, but the stain never properly went away. It has mostly gone now with the mould spray so we'll be able to see properly that the problem has resolved. I'm pretty sure it has, as the stain never changed, but it will be nice to be certain! It's mild here, and so lovely to have the windows open as well!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I had a sneaky peek on the NHS app and to my surprise my blood results are in already. I'm very pleased to say they have gone down by 1 point!
I'm still prediabetic but at least all the small changes I have made so far have made a little difference. Hopefully the next batch of changes that I started this month will make a difference again next time
I walked home from school this morning up the 'big hill' to see if I am getting any fitter. I managed to march up it relatively easily, though my knee jarred at the top, and keeps twinging. It's not as painful as it has been in the past though. This is the hill that got me to the Dr with my knee before as I was in so much pain going up it, I didn't think I'd get up there. The normal way home is a slow and steady incline, whereas this way is flat until the end then a steep hill.
So that's two things today where my health and fitness is showing signs of improvement, and that combined with my blood pressure from last week is all positive. It may not get overnight or dramatic results, but small steps certainly helps!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Great news on the hill & the result

That’s an amazing couple of days @jwil. Fantastic on the sale and all the continued PADs. But even better - great health markers. Not only the blood test but the walk and improvement in your knee. More small steps making a difference.L x2
