It was good to see I could cash out on surveys yesterday, I've still got a fair amount pending too.

MOT and service today, I'm a bit apprehensive as it's a new garage, but it has good reviews so hopefully all will be well.  The car's had a good few runs recently which has probably done it good.

Delighted that your DH is home, and well done for dealing with the driving as you did too. Now time to step back a little from the stress and let the adrenaline dissipate!

I hope all went well at the garage. It is always a worrying time.  My fdh always takes our car for a "blast" up the motorway before taking the car for its MOT but our mileage is very limited as we dont use the car much.

Thank you :)  We are back up there again today, but then fingers crossed can relax for the weekend.

My car passed MOT yesterday, with just the same advisories as last year so that's good news.  A couple I will get fixed now, the others can wait.  It went really well, they picked up and dropped off as agreed, so I didn't have the hassle of trying to get it there, however, the car has come back with an extremely noisy exhaust which it didn't go with so I'm going to get in touch and find out what has happened. I will reserve judgement on the garage until I hear back from them.  Things go wrong, and it's the way they handle it that's important.

Today we are heading back up to the hospital.  Hopefully it will be a straightforward check up and dressing change and we will be back home again.  My work are being very good and allowing me to work around appointments etc.

I'm hoping we can just have a nice break from everything this weekend.

  • Glad the car passed and hopefully the exhaust gets sorted and they deal with it well. Hope hospital goes okay. X
