One of these days I WILL address the lego in the loft.  DS is only in his 40s.  Whoops!

No one seems to have had a fetching yellow bathroom suite that we had in my first house, complete with orange tiles / accessories …….
Our first house had a harvest gold bathroom suite 😬
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Bathroom ideas sound exciting..I'm afraid I'm just gonna be really rude though and pinch your thread to ask beanielou what wet wall is.
We have a dodgy bathroom and when the lottery win comes in I'd like to replace it and have the wall panels not tiles. I may be sneaking a few ideas from your thread xx
Wet wall is the panels  :)
Thankyou. They sound like a good way to go

Another vote for avacado bathroom suite in our first house, rented so not too bad, brown in my student rental (horrid) and grey and mauve at relatives growing up. The mauve was quite nice tbh.
And first bought house had polystyrene ceiling tiles in every room. Fire hazard city and a pain to get off!

I would sneak the bag out of the garage.
I don't ever go in there, but good idea!  I'm  sure there are other bags of rags in there too.

The Lego stays in this house.  That I don't mind, apart from the bulk that DH buys to get bits with the intention of clearing the rest but that never happens.

    That sounds terribly posh :D

    Polystyrene tiles are awful!

Thank you.  I'm not obsessed with giving up work at all :D:D   I've always had vague plans to retire early, but this is the first time I've realistically worked out a plan to do so.  Now it's just seeing if it's achievable.  But at least counting down from the big figure will keep me focussed and show me how close I am to achieving it.

I used to work with a bloke who had a retirement countdown on his computer so every day he logged on it told him how many days he had left. He reckoned he’d been counting down since he started work after uni 🤣
