Well it’s very welcome so earnings up to £266.24 for January thanks to that unexpected free cash. Lots of nectar points in this week from the credit card spends and so £25 sitting in my fleabay account for Christmas.Reached payout on Shoppix, prolific and shopandscan as well.A loose goal this year is to stop buying kids snacks and make them so this week I’ve managed raspberry muffins, cheese and herb muffins both of which I did extra and froze. Also made some energy balls from nuts and seeds but they didn’t last long.I’ve started using a paper planner of sorts this year to put down my daily and weekly to dos and I feel it’s made me much more productive this year so far.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

I have a proper planner too. Last year was my first year of trying one and it was a bit random but I've been more intentional this year and I love it!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

January was a whopper month for free money - £407.25!
February doing well so far helped with a £100 premium bonds win. Been nearly a year since we’ve won so felt that was long overdue!
House reno continues. Work starts this week on the kitchen. Plumbers in first before we can do anything but new kitchen units have started to arrive. I’m being a pain and ordering bit by bit to get the highest rate of cashback!
Bugs have hit the house hold of late so we’ve all slowed down a bit but the nights are starting to draw out and I can hear the birdsong as I sit here which is lovelyDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Two months since I’ve posted. Life has been busy. Kitchen is now installed just about. Few last electric jobs and we are there. At the point now where we’ve about reached the end of the surplus cash we had from moving so renovations will slow down a bit now. But I’m up for that. Life has been manic the last few weeks especially and we need to find a better balance between house Reno and living life.I especially want to get into the garden a bit more and spend some time out there as front and back gardens are a piece of work to be done in themselves!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

So lovely to see the sunshine yesterday. Took advantage and got in the garden. Our back boundary we think has a stone wall under 50 years of growth, weeds, rubble and general household waste all chucked at it. We dug out a car radiator, a still full bottle of engine oil and numerous plastic bags and bits of roof felt yesterday. Still no sign of the wall.Feels strange lately having to tighten the belt again and consider every purchase having had a pot of equity from the house sale and spending as we needed to. I’m also relieved though to have that control back in place and savings and pots to build back up and focus on.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

You just made me smile remembering that we once found an entire car buried here - a partially burnt out mini. I can't even remember how we disposed of that now.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
