haven't been on here for a while and abroad for the last 4 weeks + so didn't know that you had succumbed to another stretch in hospital. Not a great year for you. (Think that's putting it mildly!)
pleased to hear that you have been allowed out for good behaviour and hope you are progressing well after all this year's experiences. Hope to read that you are getting to be fit as a fiddle.....
Take lots of care

JackieO! I'm really sorry you ended up back in hospital but am so glad that you're now on the mend, up and about, and home again. Good luck with your move to IOW.

Thanks chums I must say I am improving by the day and driving again ,only short distances at the moment to my DDs and back, but just to be mobile again is great. I now only use one stick not two to get around which is good.
I went for a short shop yesterday and because I've not been to the shops for around two months now I was surprised at some of the prices. Food certainly has shot up to silly prices, and I'm glad I have a good stock of tinned stuff, Plus my trusty freezer to fall back on
I normally do a big winter shop before Christmas in case of bad weather keeping me indoors Jan/Feb, but having done a stocktake of my stuff I shan't be doing a very big shop this time .
We have decided my DD and I not to waste more time, as soon as our decorators have finished then after Christmas probably we are going to put our houses on the market and hope to move by the summer.
So running down the cupboards will not only benefit my purse, but mean I shan't be packing up lots of unnecessary food stuff as well. I am hoping my decorator will arrive next week to paint the kitchen and conservatory.
I'm busy decluttering at the moment and finding stuff I had forgotten aboutShredding lots of paperwork from years ago thats no longer needed as well. I have guarantees for stuff I have thrown away ten years ago sitting in my filing cabinet ? what on earth was I keeping it for
for clothes I have stuff I have never worn and probably never will as most of it is far too big for me as I have lost a good deal of weight this year so its got to go.
I'm trying to find homes for stuff rather than just chucking it into landfill at least.
the sun is shining in north Kent and the sky is actually blue ,still nippy but crisp so I have a small line of washing to hang out for a blow that I did last night I doubt it will dry but it will be damp dry at least and I can finish it off on the airer in the conservatory.
and upwards chums

Glad you hear you are improving day by day and brilliant that you can now drive short distances. Much better to be able to get out and about than being cooped up indoors.
I've put 2 machine loads of washing out on the line and I'm not that far from you and I've managed to get all my washing dry when it's been like this previously apart from one day when it was virtually dry but needed to go on the airer overnight. Hope you can manage to get yours dry today, I'm certainly hoping mine will!

Put mine on the line and went to the main shopping centre at Hempstead Valley near me and managed to get a few odds and ends that I needed. M & S wholemeal bread is great, only 75p for 20 slices.I don't eat a great deal of bread but I portion it up into four slice portions and freeze.I find I don't waste so much this way.
By the time I got home my washing was damp dry and good enough to go on the airer to finish off. Feet up and knitting now as I do all I have to in the morning then relax in the afternoon listed to the wireless or watch a bit of stuff on my TiVo box I've recorded. .Nice cuppa and a bit of cake and I'm set for the afternoon.
So nice to be back home in my own sitting room again thats for sure

Very glad to hear you are now recuperating at home.
I thought you'd like to know that my granddaughter and I made melting moment biscuits yesterday using your recipe. My granddaughter said you must be very clever to have written such a good recipe 😀10 -
