Can't dreams be weird? I have considered a pen & pad by my bed but tbh, some of mine are so peculiar, I'm probably best not examining them too closely. I used to have lucid dreams when I was younger, which I could control. I knew I was dreaming but could make decisions about what 'dream me' did next or how I responded. It could be quite empowering to dream, say, about a conversation with an unpleasant manager & replay it with all the things I would have liked to have said…..though while I was working, it never tended to be staying quiet that got me into trouble, more the flappy gob, lol!

Anyway, am back to report a useful day. I've baked a loaf, prepped & bottled some tomatoes as well as doing a few extra (a tin's worth) required for tonight's hot-pot currently in the slow cooker. Did yesterday's deferred budget updates too, & sorted out a few fund transfers & cash swaps, as well as adding August's PA earnings to our Spends. Did a few surveys too & transferred next week's meal plan into my diary.

I just need to write a card to congratulate my nephew on his A-level results - a bit tardy with this but he's been away so wouldn't have received it anyway - & to package up a selection of surplus seeds for my B-i-L as I have more in my seed box atm than I will realistically be able to grow. Managed to find a perfect sized paddibag from my recycled wrappings stash. Oh & I will make a start on the grocery shopping list. I included a £10 supermarket voucher as part of September's grocery budget so must put it out ready to take.

No gardening today which is a shame as it's been a perfect day for it - warm & sunny but not too hot. Shall aim to do some tomorrow instead.

And we are off the blocks into September! It's feeling full of promise. I hardly dared hope earlier this afternoon when there was a rather strident knock at our front door. It wasn't Agent Millions, however, but a weary-looking young woman hoping for charity sign-ups, which I declined. Ooooh, hope that hasn't set off some bad karma re likelihood of THE knock, lol!

Well you had the charity lady at your door….I had 2 " religious" ladies, who I gently declined as well. No I didn't want to read a passage from the Bible.

Oh, I used to love religious doorknockers @Makingabobor2. Used to tie them in knots. They don't call any more. Mr F reckons I'm on a list.
