Just in case anyone else has a similar prob with PA, I thought I'd just pop back to say that my email to their support dept worked & my account was unlocked. It was a little patronising in tone in that it included helpful suggestions as to how I might like to avoid getting locked out in future, but tbf, I didn't mention that I had been locked out after one silly mistake, instead of getting the usual couple of further chances to correct it. Anyway, job done & managed to pick up a couple more surveys, bringing my Feb earnings so far to £41-21. At least I know that there are people at the other end answering emails from occasional password-mistyping numpties!

good to know you are back in again. After saying it had been slow, I just had a lovely one chatting to an AI and managed a good cash out today, so all is not lost...onward and upward, slow and steady.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Well I'm in and out of here today and on other threads I am on and not even got dressed
Plenty of time spent procrastinating -
3 things I am grateful for today - DH not nagging at me to do anything = priceless
2 Birthday cards from home shopping
Finding out I have already sorted my ISA move around.
I had collected some Kim Chi cabbage that is Thai chilli - never had fermented cabbage before, not usually a fan of Thai. How ever this free product from an Olioer is amazing and very versatile. Goes really well with corned beef hash. Also a throw together this afternoon with pasta macaroni and tuna and due to not having any mayo left threw a couple of generous teaspoons into that - it too was surprisingly lovely.
2 Scratters xx

One of my many ad hoc roles at work is reinstating colleagues access to IT systems when they’ve messed up with their password. I love doing it as it’s super easy and they’re always very grateful 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Speaking of cleaning products, DH spilled a slop of coffee on my (secondhand FB MP acquired) desk which has a leather inlaid top and wooden frame. The wood had discoloured so I have tried my HM furniture polish (olive oil, beeswax and lavender essential oil). Then of course I needed an evenly clean and shiny top so I part-cleared it, and wiped it with a UU product that our old cleaner insisted we needed (Pledge soapy wood cleaner) - I omitted to dilute it so need to start again. I think that product might be 20 years old. She stopped cleaning for us before we moved house (long story) and that was 19 years ago. I should have just stuck with my hm product!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

@Suffolk_lass - I love beeswax polish. I bought my first jar from the gift shop in a castle shortly after my parents bought me a big pine dresser as a housewarming gift when I bought my first little house. I remember that I loved the smell of it so much that I ended up using far too much & having a sticky coating! A little goes a long way, so it is pretty economical. I don't make that mistake these days, although I am currently trying to utilise the half-used cans of spray polish I brought back from Mum's house - not nearly as nice to use, but as with all the cleaning products we cleared, it did seem a terrible waste to bin stuff which could be used. Will be glad when I am once again dipping my polishing rag into my jar of beeswax!

Evening to all Saturday Savers, whether regular readers or lurkers,
Not a lot to impart today to be truthful, but a pleasant day which contained no lapses from the path of the hallowed budget. Today's small money-saving positives:
*Enjoyed our deferred trip out to a local-ish gorge. Our extremely well-priced annual parking pass dealt with that side of things & as planned, we used £10 of the recent workman underspend to subsidise breakfast & coffee, which meant we each only had £1-05 to pay from our Personal Spends. A sub-£5 spend in the gift shop - key ring for the spare bedroom (man cave) window key so it is less easy to lose & a couple of pencils from Yours Truly's Spends. I bloody love pencils - it's ridiculous how much pleasure I get from starting a lovely new one, having first sharpened it to a proper scary point!
*Picked up a free coffee on our way home when we stopped off to buy my newspaper (Spends) & a couple of grocery items.
*Watered seedlings.
*Started latest library book - Janice Hallett - I do like her innovative narrative style. I read 'The Twyford Code' first, really enjoyed it & have been borrowing her others from the library. This will be the 4th one I've read.
*Checked for surveys late afternoon, but nothing doing. Mr F had a couple of good ones though.
*Started an new Annoying Jobs List. I do one of these every so often. For me, an Annoying Job is one of those things which we keep seeing & walking past, despite the fact that many of them would take less than 10 minutes to do. I then go through the list & put a green dot by all the tasks which will cost absolutely nothing to do. The others have a red dot which means that they are likely to involve a sub-£15 spend. When I have done this in the past, not only have the vast majority of Annoying Jobs on the list cost me nothing to tackle, it has been eye-opening just how many of them took so little time that I actually felt MORE annoyed that I'd procrastinated about doing them for so long! So I have a double page in my notebook & have started noting down Annoying Jobs (in no particular order) when I see them. I mentioned my latest Annoying Jobs List to Mr F, as he wondered what all the writing was, & he asked if I would please write him a list of any of the heavier type jobs which it would help me if he were to do them. I love it when he volunteers for a list. I am going to be on that starting tomorrow.
Ah well, that is me done for the day. It's not my cooking night, cats have been fed but I can hear that they are on the scrounge for seconds. I have a magazine, knitting & a Norwegian TV series lined up for tonight plus a biscuit & a glass of malbec.
Peace,
