Well done on 2kg off 👏 February has flown by in a flash or as my mum used to say in “two shakes of a finny haddock’s eyelash”. I have no idea what a finny haddock is and I doubt they have eyelashes but I always knew what she meant 🤣
Finnan haddie (also known as Finnan haddock, Finnan, Finny haddock, Finny haddie or Findrum speldings) is cold-smoked haddock, representative of a regional method of smoking with green wood and peat in north-east Scotland.

"Finny haddock" was a saying during my childhood
Thank you for this 😊 I often wondered what it was or if it really existed or was just something she'd made up.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

But I need to know whether they have eyelashes now (the fish equivalent, obviously)
