I use Kings seeds too - I started using them through an allotment society as they received a discount. I place an order for all my seeds in October (after checking to see what I have left from previous year). They stock a huge range at very reasonably prices. KA

all the gardening tips are really useful I haven’t anywhere indoors to put things easily. I have geraniums in a sheltered part of the garden though that have lasted three years so must be the slightly milder winters

I am going to try the geraniums behind the small wall next to the house with some covering. I dont know if it will work but worth a try. I dont have a suitable place in the house.

I have my herbs (in big concrete planters) and geraniums (pelargonium style) in pots in old chimneys against the back of the house (unheated kitchen) and they often survive the winter. Because we are planning to re-engineer the veg garden (well I am) with removal of ant-eaten oak sleepers and narrower beds, I might find some room in the greenhouse for the geraniums this year. I have yet to decide if I am buying more sleepers or using scaffold boards instead. We had oak sleepers 15 and 12 years ago thinking they would last us out but they are rotten thanks to ant attack. They are much more expensive for only a year or two of life. I could use some of my brick stash of course.

What on earth has the Nationwide Building Society  done with its logo 

 It looks like a dodgy bank sign. Are things about to change with them? I noticed it yesterday when I couldn't see it to log into my app its not easy to see with my background settings.  Great colours for the colour blind too!!!

I am being a warrior at the moment with making money go a bit further - we are down to using our last loo roll   

Saved an empty spray bottle to be reused with a small concentrate product but am not filling it up yet.
Been up and down out of my seat to see the geese flying - we have inbound and outbound flocks. I like to greet them and bid them farewell on their migration too.

Geraniums don't survive the winter here if I leave them outside or in our unheated greenhouse. The conservatory is cold too, but is sufficiently warmer to get them through. They don't like warm windowsills above radiators either.

And although some advise is to stop watering, they need a little bit or they dry out completely

It’s pot luck for my geraniums in my little mini greenhouse but Dh despises the smell of them in the house - he’s usually very easy going but really can’t stand the smell - so my geraniums have to take a chance. I lost them all last year but the 2 previous winters they survived. They are tucked up nicely along with my tender fuchsias so fingers crossed for a mild winter. They didn’t flower very well this year and I put it down to the rubbish compost. I won’t be buying that brand again.
