Hi people. 30/24 for September.I am amazed I stuck out the whole month. But if I had caved in once,it would have been the whole month without an AFDEarly in September Mr Dusty was just sitting watching TV at 6.30 pm. He started to stretch out his body and suddenly went into convulsion, similar to epilepsy. It was terrifying especially when he went unconscious. He's .never had fits beforeRushed to hospital,he had suffered bleeding on the brain clot between brain and skull. He was in hospital nearly a fortnight.massive cognitive decline, needed help with dressing and feeding him. He became very unruly and desperate being in hospital, but he is home now, much calmer, but English speech has almost gone now.He tries to do all his own tasks, but when he dresses he puts his trousers and tshirtson back to front,or wears 2 pairs of underpants. Now finds it difficult to follow even simple commands, and spends many hours sleeping.because of anticonvulsion meds. as well as his normal chemostuff to batten down the growth of platelets in his blood. Together they are causing him to sleep a lot . He is losing weight,no wonder after his hospital stay, and I have been told to fortify his meals to be high protein and iron rich because of his anaemia.. Thank goodness he still loves his beloved roast potatoes. And his peanut butter. He eats a good breakfast and dinner but doesnt want to eat in the evening, and sleeps from about 12 hoursMuch extra time is needed now helping him with mundane tasks, but he still understands some tv,and enjoys music, though communication is almost impossible. We keep on plodding,I am now up to 244 AFD days for the year,I would dearly love to reach my 300 day yearly goal.If I can avoid having a total breakdown and going on a binge.Fingers crossed.Iwill put down my usual 24 day goal for October.I usually manage well, but as you may imagine, this month had special temptations, but I held strong, and no big birthday bashes in October. September was crazy on the birthday front,no less than seven events in all.!4

@dustydigger that sounds absolutely awful for both you and Mr Dusty. Well done on sticking to the AFDs under the circumstances xx3

@dustydigger sounds like you have had an awful time of it - thinking of you and Mr Dusty.
I did stay AF yesterday so finished September on 15/10 please cathybird2 -
Snap @sukeyboo! I, too, finished September on 15/10 AFDs after an unexpected evening out yesterday.
There were many amazing scores last month and you definitely deserve a special mention along with @dustydigger. 👏👏👏
Getting off to a start today.
1/10 AFDs please@cathybird3 -
Starting October with 1/20 and I'm hoping to at least make target. I'm taking my sister to see Paul Carrack for her birthday on Sunday, which we will both enjoy.
Hugs @dustydigger
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3 -
I finished September with 22/25 AF days - not quite as good as I’d hoped.
I’d like to aim for 24 days in October please, if I haven’t stated this already.3
