Hi all, hope you had a good weekend. I did have two glasses of wine on saturday so I won't make my target... it was quite ambitious though so I'm still happy with my progress. So I'm on 20/30. Aiming not to drink next weekend.Student loan £5655

@oceandreamer I get what you are saying. I have come back to this thread a few times now with tail firmly between legs. But everyone is so nice and encouraging. Just get back up and try again. That’s what I am doing, anyway!3 -

Thankyou for your kind and wise comments. Mamam I think that's a good idea about ground rules. I've thought about this and for me, I'm going to try and only have planned drinks (which sounds similar to you - weekends and nights out). I very easily slip into the habit of popping to the shop on the spur of the moment (or so I kid myself - I expect I've known all day I'm going). Rob that's so impressive and no, I hadn't read your story before. I really want to cut my drinking right down because I worry so much about the damage it does to my health. Anyhow, happily an AFD yesterday so 7/20 please Cathybird.5

I have been missing and have no idea what this months score is. I know more evenings have been spent with a glass that I care to admit, but, never more than half a bottle so progress of some limited kind.
I will limp on to the end of the month and have another go in May. I've no idea where I am on the counting this month and feel a bit of a failure on that.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
@Watty1 - the fact that you are still posting on here shows you are not a failure - I too have had months like this in the past when it has been all to easy to pour out a glass at the end of the day for whatever reason I cared to come up with at the time 😏
Declaring early for today on 11/10 please cathybird
