Declaring early for 3/10 please Cathybird. I may have to accept the inevitable truth I sleep much better without booze. Currently in a river in Egypt over that one.
Wishing you success for April Shrewbie.4 -
Hi folks, sorry to be MIA,had a really REALLY bad immune breakdown, any part of my body that could breakdown did,I have been really sick, still only around 45% healthy even now.I guessed it was coming after a lesser attack early in March, and blood results showed I had total zero in the blood sectors to do with immune response etc. My red blood cells are too big to get into muscles etc which need the nutrients,so consequently I am continually sick and weak, never mind mental things like depression and brainfog,or now having a poor husband rapidly cognitively declining. What annoyed me at my review with the nurse was how delighted she was at my diabetes HbA1c result, down from 53 last year to 48 this time, right on the borderline.below 42 is normal non diabetic,42-47 is prediabetic. She acted as if she personally had achieved this, almost crowing. Unbelievable. I am pretty alert and careful about my sugar issues most of the time(apart from my besetting sin, bread).Initially it was 103,I reduced it to 66,then 56,then 53 last year I know what to avoid, and am on metformin now,so the diabetes is under control.Cant say I have many problems with it,no hypos etc But the surgery has deaf ears about thyroid issues simply because the test they go by squeaks into normal range, even if every other thyroid factor is wildly abnormal, and I have a myriad symptoms. They dont want to hear.Same with the pernicious anaemia, that one B12 jab every 3 months is a wonder cure as far as she is concerned. And my body has literally zero of the stuff needed to support any immune response to outside attack. She just kept typing away as I tried to explain things and unbelievably said in a chirpy voice,''Keep on taking the tablets!'' I was NOT amused.=============OOPS,What I meant as a one sentence quick update became a War and Peace length tirade. So sorry I havent been able to come online posting. My final AF days for March were 25/24.I'm sorry but I may only be posting finally monthly results for a while until I am healthier and can get back to this lovely helpful community. I need to simplify thingsI'll post my usual 24 days please ,cathybird.3/24 for April.5
