Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread part 18

Happy 2024 all.

Well, what I thought was a rotten cold is very definitely C-19, did a test yesterday pm and the solid red lines came up more or less immediately. So definitely no going out and definitely no alcohol as I filled myself with cold cures and I finished Dec on 26/25 thank you cathybird.

In 2023 as a whole I drank on 18 occasions so we are looking at 347 AF days for the calendar year. Slightly down on a couple of years ago when I got to 350 AF days in total, but I posted at the time that figure is probably as high as I can get to, without giving up altogether (which I do think about quite often).

No annual target for 2024 but I’d like to get somewhere close to 350 AF days again.

Could I please have a target of 28 for January thank you cathybird. (Love that you posted about having the free bubbly on the last day of the year to keep the thread slightly more MSE-compliant.)

Thank you cathybird. You’re right I don’t take part in the annual challenge, just personally find it easier to take things month by month rather than think of the year as an entirety. 

This approach has sorta worked for me up to now so I will stay target free for 2024 as a whole thank you. 🙂
