Hi cathybird, a little ahead of myself but I am declaring now for today and tomorrow, meaning I’ll finish November on 28/27 thank you.Probably also a bit early for my end of year review, however I’ve looked back at my totals on here (thanks again for the work you do running the thread, it is of so much value) and the year to date looks as follows for me:

I mean, that’s only 13 occasions this calendar year where I’ve had anything to drink, and there are some long gaps in between those times. Most importantly of all for me, given my historic lack of an Off switch, is that these few occasions have all been very restrained, just a few drinks, definitely no big sessions and consequently, definitely no big dramas (or hangovers for that matter).
Prompted by RobM’s reports from the excess alcohol frontline on what he sees other people getting up to at some of his gigs, I was trying to think of the last time I got what I would call “falling-over drunk”, I would have to go back 10 years to a friend’s wedding in July 2013 (shudders at memory) for the last time that happened. Since then I had a few years of still drinking regularly but at a much reduced level and then, since 2018 when I first joined this thread, the regularity also then dropped off steeply. So now and for the last few years I drink only very occasionally, and in very modest amounts. That is in very large part due to being able to contribute to this thread, it definitely helps, so thank you again cathybird.
Having typed that it could read as though I am prepping myself for a big blow-out in December, I am definitely not planning to do that, I will ponder what would be a realistic and sensible target.

I’m still struggling to start this properly, lots of family stress but really that’s just an excuse. I will try for 10AFDs in December please. And as always many thanks to @cathybird for all her hard work on this thread.2
