Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread part 18

I've only ever wanted to cut down @sunshine_raincloud and @family355. I find prefer to have AF days and then have what I want on planned drinking days. I'd rather do that than (as my DH does) have a couple of small glasses most days.
What the thread has helped with most is that I drink less overall, my tolerance has dropped and s*d it days are rare. 👍10 -

2/15 please for today, Wednesday.I'm exactly the same @f@family355, a small glass is not enough. I was so tempted tonight to go and get a bottle of wine but managed to resist for once!5

I can honestly say that it is only since I joined this thread that I have managed to cut down on drinking. I'm the same - I find it impossible to have one or two glasses - once the bottle is opened I won't stop until it's empty. How I ever got into that problem situation with a bit left and then having to get another bottle to top it up I don't know (I suspect it was when I was drinking with a more controlled friend). Anyhow avoiding drinking altogether seems the only way for me. 10/21 today please Cathybird.7

Thank you so much @maman @sunshine_raincloud @maggiem @oceandreamer @cathybird
I was close to opening a new bottle last night (DD is loosing the plot daily over her looming GCSE's) I had a bit of a battle in work, I had been in 8 supermarkets/shops across 2 towns trying to find glitter (for the DD loosing the plot over exams as she needed it for her leavers shirt today), the youngest DD had a football match, my chicken hadn't defrosted in time etc etc
Instead I checked in here and read all of your messages and was so greatful. DD then made me a cup of tea for the glitter search and I woke up with no wine head fog or guilt about drinking on a school night
4/14 for yesterday please8
