Smarter doesn't always mean better.1 -
So you seem to be missing the point, it was not on offer at £39 that was the original price. Now its on special offer at £65.1

The discount on the Dot with clock was lower than most of the other devices (which were around 50%) but was listed at 38 or 39% IIRC.
It has just gone back up to list price.
64.99 is the same as the original release price:

Unless you are being offered a special version of the full price 😉1 -

Now its on special offer at £65.And?Take a walk round Tescos or any supermarket. Some of their "special offer" food items are more expensive than they were last week.In The Olden Days it used to be a Capital Offence to re-price stock on the shelves*, so they don't put price labels on anything now, bonus- they can sack the minimum wage slave who used to put price labels on everything.* Actually I think it was illegal to have two price labels and charge the higher, so the old label had to be removed first. There is no reason why you can't put up your prices if you find people want to buy something, it is how supply & demand works.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

The sound quality of these devices is also extremely good for the size and the discounted price.1 -

The £65 is the normal RRP for it and indeed according to the Amazon price trackers )one of which was spoken about in this thread), the item in question has only ever been on sale (at the time of my writing this) for £39.99 or £64.99.Not sure what your definition of "on special offer" is, but returning to full price from an offer definitely isn't an "offer" by any stretch of the imagination. £39 would have been the offer.1
