How is this right.
What's your thoughtsWell if you wanted it, buy it at £39.99. If you don't want it at £64.99, don't buy it.Snooze you lose.Anyway according to various Amazon price trackers that thing has always been £64.99 full RRP.It'll be on offer again, everything Amazon makes/sells/brabds as Amazon/is high profile like that goes on offer at some point.1 -

As Neil says, if you wanted it you should have pounced when it was £39.99.
Pricing is subject to the laws of supply and demand so its whatever the supplier wants to charge and whatever you are prepared to buy it for and its always a gamble if you hope that the price will drop even more. I've seen prices change even during the day on some stuff from Amazon.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -
It is the January "sales" at the moment, so prices of anything that might be in demand are high. When the buying frenzy subsides it will likely come down again if they want to shift them.Amazon do have some good discounts of their own branded stuff on Prime Day, around July when sales go quiet.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

These Amazon products are often reduced for Amazon's various promotions. Need to buy it then.
But, in order for something to be reduced, it has to have been a higher price between reductions.
FWIW, the Echo products are probably worth the full price, if you are using them a lot, and for a variety of uses. However, Amazon has just mucked about with one of its Music services, which for me has undermined the usability of Echo products.0 -
