Final amount of the year for me. I need to start xmas shopping!

    But I'm #46 6550/8400 (1850 left)

Nearly got there! Proud because its on 0% usually I pay it down while building back up on another card then transferring that to a 0% deal at a cost so its been a cycle for years. This year I didn't build up else where 🙏 hopefully I can clear that in the next few months and start to save instead. Well done toneveryone else chipping away or fully paid up ❤️ 💙

I'm no-where near paying off my debt this year.
So I've sat down this past week and really concentrated on where I have to stop spending, what I can do to help stay focused next year and hopefully by the end of 2024 I'll be debt free.

I've taken the plunge and switched to a balance transfer 0% deal which was for 29 months!  so already I'm feeling less stressed and focused on paying that off.

With things happening here I'm over £3000 in debt... if I can make it to under £1000 by this time next year I'll be happy.

A huge well done to all those who have so amazingly well this year in their quests  to become debt free,  Whether you have become debt free or are still plugging away at it, a huge well done and keep going!

I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, lots of lovely time with your families/friends etc and enjoy every single minute.

Well done on breaking the cycle @MrMrsR, it makes all the difference doesn't it?

Getting such a great 0% interest deal is amazing @IrishRose12 and it will make all the difference moving forward.

You should both consider join us on the Payment a Day challenge https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6413218/payment-a-day-chapter-2023/p1 (but you don't need to make a payment a day, it just helps with accountability and consistency, you make payments and declare them as when your budget allows). A new thread will be starting for 2024 (I just need to set it up at some point next week). That has helped me to keep plugging away at my goal.

I paid another £500 today so...

    Morning

Just caught up on the payments made since last time and thought I would post an update.  A huge congratulations to those that have paid off their debts, paid off their targets for the year or in many cases exceeded their debt payoff target.

I would just like to say sorry for not being on this forum on a regular basis, home life is very hectic and also ongoing issues in the family.  I just cannot dedicate the time after this year and you all deserve so much more support than I can give and that you rightly deserve.

Keep plugging away, remember anything you pay is less than what you started the year with so give it a final push to the finish line!
