I'm glad that you've managed to work out a diet that suits your T2 diabetes, Liverpool_Anne. I'm not diabetic myself, but DS2 is T1, and a dear friend is T2, and they are both wary about the type of fruit they eat.
Anyway, I have another spend to declare and a correction. I thought I had bought 5 pairs of knickers - but the pack is for 7, so that is 14 points. The spend is for a pair of white jeans, which I've been looking for for a while. I just happened to see a pair I liked today, and although my size fitted, I took the larger size as I thought it looked better on me. So I make that a total of 22 coupons.
Just as a matter of interest, what would a swimming costume be in points? I had to throw one out today, as the fabric had gone. (It was more than 10 years old, so didn't really owe me anything.) But I might have to buy another one.
Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.
Fashion on the Ration - 27.5/66 ( 5 - shoes, 1.5 - bra, 11.5 - 2 pairs of shoes and another bra, 5- t-shirt, 1.5 yet another bra!) 3 coupons swimming costume.6 -

January (29): winter boots, green trainers, canvas swimming-shoes (15); t-shirt x2 (8); 3m cotton twill (6);
.
2025 second-hand acquisitions (no coupons): None thus far
.
2025 needlework- *Reverse-couponing*:11 coupons :
January: teddybear-lined velvet jacket (11) & hat (0); velvet sleep-mask (0);2 -
@CapricornLass, a bathing costume is 3 coupons - unless you meant a Bathing Gown, in which case a woollen one is 8 coupons and a non-woollen one 7 coupons. Woollen bathing trunks for a chap are 3 coupons and cotton swimming drawers for him are just 1 coupon.
@PipneyJane I discovered my Jill Norman IWM hardback of facsimiles of the entire Make Do And Mend leaflets includes a massive section on the coupon regulations, listing all kinds of detailed things, and answering over 60 commonly-asked questions. From the wording, it's clearly the start of the scheme, not later on, as it starts by telling you to use the Margarine coupons issued in 1941... I hadn't known, for instance, that second-hand goods were only exempt so long as they were sold below a fixed price, calculated for each type of garment or footwear! So we'll all be fine with our charity shop/ eBay finds so long as we pay sensible pricesBut articles sold at bazaars and sales of work, those need coupons, apparently!

What a lovely morning, @Nelliegrace. 'A thing of beauty is a joy forever'.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)
Fashion on the Ration 2025: Fabric 2, men's socks 3, Duvet 7.5, 2 t-shirts 10, men's socks 3, uniform top 0, hat 0, shoes 5 = 30.5/68
2024: Trainers 5, dress 7, slippers 5, 2 prs socks (gift) 2, 3 prs white socks 3, t-shirts x 2 10, 6 prs socks: mostly gifts 6, duvet set 7.5 = 45.5/68 coupons
20.5 coupons used in 2020. 62.5 used in 2021. 94.5 remaining as of 21/3/224 -
I decided to go ahead and get another pair of the Long Tall Sally jeans, so that's another 6 coupons, and I have bought 300g of wool as well (for a new slipover, main colour a deep rich 'malachite' green, with two shades of eau-de-Nîl as contrasts) so that's another 6 coupons (12 more now)...
I also went to the two huge re-enactment suppliers' markets outside Coventry, and managed to restrain myself very well! My parents had urged me to buy myself some nice material as their birthday/Xmas present to me, so I bought a whacking great eight metres! But as they gave me it, specifying they would like me to buy material, then it's their coupons, I think, isn't it?
Two metres each of lovely mid-weight Irish linen in what I call "1930s undies colours" - pale yellow, pale green, pale peach and another which might be pale purple or might be pale blue, but it's that hyacinth-bluebell inbetween colour - in any case the colours work gloriously together - richer than modern pastels shades, but still delicate and light. 58" wide as well. It will become camisoles and knickers and cap-sleeved blouses for me.
So I need to update my sig.file from 50 coupons left to only 38 coupons left, eek! Two pairs of jeans, two pairs of plimsoles (all of which will last me quite a few years with care), one slipover's worth of wool... and that's nearly half my coupons used - it really startles me how much I used to buy, a few years ago before starting this challenge...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

I feel your pain @Laura_Elsewhere. Coupons go remarkably quickly.
As you know, I listen to a lot of podcasts. What led me down the coupon counting pathway, was actually an episode of Cast On from 2009, episode (85. Sixty Six Coupons), in which Brenda Dayne talks at length about just how tight a clothing/crafting budget that is and how creative one would have to be. The rest is history, as they say.

The colours are muted now the felt has dried. I have yet to sew on a badge pin. The brown 1940’s garter stitch bow or Ascot scarf took just one ounce to knit. I remember my eldest sister using the same pattern at the village primary school, the three of us were in the junior classroom at the same time when I moved up from the infants room.
The crochet leaf was from WI.

They’re lovely @Nelliegrace.I’m sure you’re right @Laura_Elsewhere, your parents have kindly donated their own coupons for you. The fabric sounds lovely, I hope you’ll show us some of the things you make. I didn’t know there were such things as re-enactment suppliers!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.8
