@Elisheba you'll find that money well spent. I bought my first Snag tights last year (oops, just wondering if I counted them in my coupons!) and they are everything they promise.

Oh yes, the scarlet Melton that is woven every so often for the British military dress uniforms - keep an eye on re-enactment fairs, or you could try emailing Bernie to ask. It's one of those buy-it-when-you-see-it ones but it does keep on turning up again... utterly glorious, isn't it? What did you make from it? I've always fancied a 3/4-circle mid-calf skirt with a double-breasted waistcoat, one of those Nelson-era ones with the little standing collar and loads of frogging...

I made a lined circle skirt and bodice for my LARP character - been a good 3-4 years and it's still going strong - it's incredibly comfy. Occasionally I wear just the skirt - which has pockets, obviously!

In summer, I like to wear loose pure-linen camisoles but I hate wearing a bra under them as it just feels like it's counteracting the whole point of wearing one - but at the same time they are too loose to wear on their own if I'm doing anything like gardening or cycling or anything except standing upright and not moving!

So I made myself a little white-linen "under-cami", just long enough for the lower drawstring to sit below my bust, loosely, and the shoulder-straps are adjustable by the ribbon tying at the upper centre-front. 

I'm rather pleased with it!

(the pieced patchwork quilt was made by my wonderful friend for our wedding present and is possibly the most beautiful thing we own, in wallflower colours to go with my garden-grown bouquet and home-made outfit...)

Oh that's so pretty @Laura_Elsewhere I'd love to be able to wear something like that but sadly my bust size is such that without a military grade bra to strap it all in I'm going nowhere 😂.

Ohh the joys of them who have and them that don't - boobs wise!
I too suffer with too much, which also prevents me from wearing what I would prefer and is also comfier. There are certain styles that just simply do not work with a big bosom 
Therefore it is a need to work with what we have

I'm lucky - although a size-20 and D-cup, because I've hardly ever worn modern bras, I am fine without any support at all...

I bought a dress - more extraordinarily, for me, I actually planned to buy a dress and went round the shops with that in mind. Lots too long for me - ankle length seems to be a thing this year, which would mean a puddle of fabric around my feet - or the sort of floral pattern that I admit is pretty but tend to avoid because even now my hair is grey it makes me look childish. Anyway its white linen with a black toile print, smock shaped, knee length and full length sleeves on me (I imagine mid thigh and three quarter length sleeves for most) and I can wear it with leggings and boots now and just as a summer dress in the summer. 
I feel like my coupons are going really fast this year, but we are in March, so maybe its not as bad as I think.

I have made a note to check regularly.
