CapricornLass, what you have said do resonates with my mum and stepfather. My stepfather's parents were very hard up at the beginning of their married and therefore kept everything just in case, My stepfather, as his cancer progressed he became more tired and less interested in mundane duties, he died last night. For the nine months, my Mum has been run ragged with looking after him and visiting him in the hospice / nursing home every day, so things mounted up.@Laura_Elsewhere that is so sad about not only losing your own things but the treasured possessions of your grandparents. Hugs to you.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

In my case I believe it is partly that my sister took my things when she could, sometimes to use them but often just to stop me having them; sometimes she destroyed things, rubbing an open book in the cat-litter tray and putting it in my bed, for example. After being initially very tidy and liking order as a small child, I became very untidy aged about ten, because it meant she could no longer find the special things.2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Gem-gem sorry for your loss xx
I am grateful that my parents my dad in particular had the foresight to rid the house of getting rid of stuff he started that 35years ago and still didn't manage to do it all. Mum was the collector of stuff. They have moved out now but there is still stuff being selected for removal and other stuff for CS. We 4 siblings have had our share of wants without falling out tooI have had to be very selective as our house is a small bungalow. 1 sister does not save or collect stuff the other sister collects everything and I mean everything. DB has also been selective too.
This has been I would say a little easier to deal with as they are both still with us. Dad is not interested at all about any of it now and has switched off. Mum has dementia and had to be pasified about the stuff she wanted to go through.
I am in the process of making sure that this does not happen to our son. DH does not collect stuff the problem here is me
Stay strong everyone
2 Scratters xx

And on a more cheerful note, I collected my order of two pairs of colourful plimsolls from Sainsbury's this morning, so that's 10 coupons for the two, leaving me now 50 coupons in 2023.
One pair a rich deep bright green (like the old base pieces for Lego, if you remember that colour!), and one pair deep rich golden-yellow with flowery-twining pattern in white. I bought spotty ones two years ago and they last really, really well, so I'm happy paying 5 coupons a pair as I know I'll wear them a lot for quite a few years.2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Afternoon Ladies
Is everyone warm and dry? We’ve just had what sounded like a hail storm, but there’s no stones, so must have been icy rain. Just a short burst, but enough to set off the alarm at the school opposite.
Here, have another cup of tea and some cake.
I have the strange experience of being home on my own for 2 days. DH is off climbing Scarfell Pike* today, with work. He has just messaged me to say that they didn’t get to the top - got turned back by the weather. Given that he is someone who rarely feels cold until he’s turned into an ice block, much to my relief on Thursday, he bought a set of thermals from our local ski shop and is wearing them today.
Got some sewing lined up - including finishing off at least 2 knitted items - and the rugby.

* He also has What3Words downloaded on his phone, in case there’s any incidents. Did you see the item on BBC Breakfast this morning? If the missing gentleman had had What3Words, the mountain rescue crew would have been able to pinpoint his location. It works even if you have a dodgy phone signal or none at all. (We’ve tested it at work.)"Be the type of woman that when you get out of bed in the morning, the devil says 'Oh crap. She's up.'
