I’ve been into the Santander app as I’ve a small cheque to deposit and it’s a real pain getting to my nearest branch. No mention of a paying in facility and on line chat says there’s not one ???
Are you on the latest version of the app?

If so, you should see the cheque deposit option by selecting your current account and clicking the 3 dots in the top right corner

Thank you 👍 I’d checked everywhere, except there. Strange that the on-line automated chatbod said no facility existed.
Now to see if it works 😄
Update - all sorted, easy to use

I've just paid in 2 cheques - super easy to use (and I think in fact simpler than Lloyds version of the same thing). Now off to find a few more cheques I've haven't had a chance to pay in yet - saves me my usual method of posting to my branch with a note :)

I can't wait to get a cheque to try this out, I'm expecting one in April. :)

The process on the website was out of synch with the app but there is a new guide now on the site:

Only £500 per cheque / £1000 per day though. a bit behind the times there.  LLoyds BOS is £3000 / £5000
Really? Was only £1k back in August.
  • I find it a nightmare to be honest. I've been trying to pay in two cheques, and the process fails repeatedly, saying "Poor image quality". I'm using an iPhone 12, and the pics look absolutely fine to me - the edges of the cheques are clearly defined against a dark background. The back of the cheques is blank - nothing printed on them. I wonder if that's the issue. Has anybody else had this problem?

Think ive only used it 2/3 times but no issues. I’d always wondered why the reverse of the cheque needed to be scanned if it’s blank.

I assume to make sure it is blank! I've had no problems either but Santander keep sending messages saying a new app is coming soon but it won't handle cheque paying in for a while.

Yes, until I used a black cloth as background!
