Button pressed to start transfer.
It can all be done electronically (Fidelity to iWeb) so no need to print and post the transfer form.
Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.
It's many £k on the line😲How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Anyone know when I'm likely to receive any sort of acknowledgment of my transfer application? From either iWeb or Fidelity?
It's only been a few days, but I thought I'd have heard something if it's all electronic. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
It was in 2018 but while I received email from them when opening the account I only received paper correspondence regarding the transfer. Give it a while longer

I received a letter from IWeb regarding my transfer from Fidelity surprisingly quickly, submitted my transfer request on 04.01.23, letter received confirming my request on 06.01.23 and when I looked on IWeb on 10.01.23 the funds (L&G Multi Index Fund) are already there. So I assume you will also receive a letter from them shortly.Sea_Shell said:Anyone know when I'm likely to receive any sort of acknowledgment of my transfer application? From either iWeb or Fidelity?

I transferred from Vanguard to IWeb all online. I heard from Vanguard via secure message on the same day the request was submitted, confirming they'd received request, then another update 5 days later that they had started working on it. Then following day an email telling me to sign-in to my account to view new document which was confirming the in-specie part had completed. Then a further message another 6 days later to tell me the little bit of cash that was in the account was now also transferred and therefore ISA transfer fully completed. I didn't hear from IWeb during the process, and when I did hear from them, it was to confirm completion and came snail mail, so with current postal chaos the confirmation of completion letter may take a while, but hopefully Fidelity will keep you informed electronically. Don't use Fidelity, but if they have similar secure messaging facility, perhaps worth checking your account for any updates.Sea_Shell said:Anyone know when I'm likely to receive any sort of acknowledgment of my transfer application? Very helpful thanks.
I'll log on in the morning to iWeb and see if anything has transpired.
Snail mail seems slower than usual since the strikes ☹️How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
I called IWeb about my transfer requests (2nd one with Nationwide has to be done by post) as I was expecting their website to show there were transfers pending like they do with Vanguard but not the case with IWeb. My understanding from the person I spoke to is that nothing will show up on your account until the transfer is completed but you can call them for an update.Sea_Shell said:Very helpful thanks.

You might get a little extra information from the Fidelity website as that did show my transfer to IWeb was pending and an expected transfer date.1 -
No transactions pending on Fidelity, just checked the app.
All still showing in full. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
I've just webchatted with them (iWeb) and they have confirmed that it is in hand.
It probably takes a bit longer as it involves a share class conversion. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0
