Another lovely moment today. I went out with Mum for a bite to eat and a cup of tea when a woman approached us and started talking to us.
She recognised my Mum from when Mum was on the Council many years ago and wanted to thank her for the help she’d given her and her disabled son with a housing issue many years.
It was so kind of her to approach us and talk to my Mum. It gave my Mum a real boost as she feels very old and useless a lot of the time. It really made my day too.
Never underestimate an act of kindness. I so appreciate the lady taking the time to come over to Mum. As my Mum says ‘There’s a story being every person’.

  • Aww that’s really nice @AntoMac. I always try to be nice and kind when out and about. My mum was frequently told that her girls were so lovely and polite when we were younger and it always made her beam with pride. We have continued to be the same, it costs nothing to be nice and have good manners.
I’m one of those annoying people who tell everyone to have a lovely day 😂

That's such a lovely experience for you and your mum @AntoMac 🤗, and I'm glad it gave your mum a much needed boost. And you're right @LittleMissDetermined, it costs nothing to be nice and you never know what people are going through, and the importance of having a positive attitude to others.
