I think you could have titled your thread
Would you lend money to an ex?
Here's a recent thread discussing lending money that ran to 12 pages:
Sister has asked me to lend money - how to deal with it - Page 12 — MoneySavingExpert Forum
Maybe your ex is busy with sorting her car our out or doing Christmassy things.
Or maybe you can kiss goodbye to the £200.
My answer to the question would be an unequivocable 'NO'.

Is this the ex who moved out for 2 weeks but wouldn't tell you that the relationship was over because she still wanted to ivf?
If so then not a chance I'd have handed over the money.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....6 -
Based on your other thread it sounds like a toxic relationship. I think you need to move on from her, block her number and have no more contact.3

The short answer. No
However, before marriage I blocked numbers/ social media of ex's and deleted their details from my phone to remove this type of contact - do that too, to remove future contact.2 -

I can't think of any ex that I have that I would even reply to a request for money let alone reply with a yes.
Once an ex is an ex then you stop interacting with them and move on with your life, surely? Never understood these people that want to stay connected to their exes.5 -
One ex sure if I could help I would, but we are still friends and the loan would only be what I could afford although if it were me that was asked I know things would have to be desperate and I am 99.99% certain it would be repaid as soon as possible. Others a big no, they are out of my life and on hello how are you only terms if we were ever to meet, and thats if we actually recognised each other.Credit card debt - NIL

What's that saying? If you lend £20 to a friend and never see them again it was probably worth it.
