To those who can't see the problem - never mind, forget it, i've drawn a line underneath it.0

TELLIT01 said:baser999 said:Looks as if it was just a tracking issue. We were expecting non-urgent delivery, shown as picked up day 1, updated to at depot day 2, eta day 3, then out for delivery. No delivery, tracking showed still at depot day 4, eta would now be day 7. Actually delivered day 3.Not sure whether tracking is totally centralised or a combination of local management with courier. This may explain OPs issues?
At least you received your delivery. I know somebody who had their ASDA delivery cancelled at 6pm on the 23rd December and were told their payment would be refunded in 5 working days. They didn't have enough money to be able to buy the food and get the refund at ASDAs convenience and had to borrow in order to have food over Christmas.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.094 -
They posted this before it was delivered ( 1 day late and contrary to the very last minute information that they provided 28Dec22 ie that it would be after Christmas).
Chaotic messaging from the company leading to a period of upset due to a nice present being delayed until after Christmas and potentially spoiled…..
Hope that it worked out0 -

So this is still going on ? !
The point of my OP was:
* Order placed start of October.
* Delivery date selected Dec 23rd.
* No parcel arrived.
* 5pm on the 23rd an email, from M&S to inform delivery won't take place until Dec 28th.
* 24th Dec, 5pm hamper arrives.
* Emails still telling me delivery due 28th.
Tracking showed the parcel didn't get dispatched until 5pm on the 22nd so very tight dispatch/delivery timeframes operated by the company.
Why was i so cross ?
It's the principle - i pre-empted the late delivery (knowing the postal strike dates would disrupt deliveries )scenario by ordering, paying, specifying delivery date to ensure plenty of time for it to arrive when it should.
I learnt, yesterday, that M&S were to deliver a christmas hamper to a neighbour, ordered at the start of December, next day delivery option selected, it arrived Dec 21st - so clearly M&S aren't as efficient as they could be regarding their organising/scheduling/delivery ability.
There's nothing more to add to this now.0
