Rosa_Damascena said:Will probably bump into @Wednesday2000 one of these days! Thought of you last Sunday when I was in Leigh to collect some furniture - I didn't realise there was a Mencap there (the one near me closed a few weeks ago), nor that the Broadway chazzers would be open. Of course I could not find a spot to park so continued driving and consoled myself by stopping off at the Harp opposite the park instead. Nothing there for me but it was still nice to browse
I'm probably dropping off my donation bag at the Harp shop at Chalkwell today. I was going to drop it off yesterday, but I was trying to finish the last book to donate. It was the Lily Allen autobiography (bought for £1) and I couldn't get into it at all so I just skimmed most of it.4 -
Ooh. I went to drop off the donation bag to the Harp store and saw a sink with storage drawers underneath. We just bought a new sink to replace our old one, but this one in the charity shop was only £10. We paid for it plus a delivery fee and came home and sent a message to B&Q saying we wanted to return the £90 sink we bought from them.🤩 I only noticed it as it was outside the store on display. It wouldn't have occurred to me that a charity shop would sell something like that.2025 GOALS

I just hope there's still a market for shorts in another week?! As I've found Another kit bag of Himself's gear - I thought I'd sorted his summer stuff and was bidding a brisk adieu to T shirts when Oh. My sons are being supportive - one has snagged a couple of shirts for his use (apparently his Hawaiian shirt is almost washed out) and the other has been admirably clear - shift the lot. Still, I'm on a roll so long as the weather holds! Plus all my surplus to requirements (ahem got too fat for) tees are in the bags as well, so summer can break out & I probably won't even recognise them on others. (Largely supermarket generic.)11

Went for a wobble around the Ripon chazza shops in glorious sunshine this afty. Was pleased to pick up a pair of M & S lightweight, formal stylee black trousers for £3.99. Then....in the BHF shop I found an L K Bennett, pure silk dress in a rather unusual turquoise, tan & black pattern - priced at £16 and looks hardly worn. Of course I Googled it when I got home only to find that it was worn by Catherine, Princess of Wales, (ahem well, she didn't wear MY one....I don't think, but ya know wot I mean!!). And...and...there is one on EBay right now priced at £350!!!
. Here it is modelled by HRH
Pity it didn't come with the jewellery and shoes!!!
Now I have a dilemma, going for a pawsh Sunday lunch at a smart Michelin standard foodie pub next Sunday....this would be just a little OTT for mid afternoon non???16 -
@Miró, if ever a woman starts following you round Ripon, don't worry, it'll be me. Amazing buy!
I agree with @Floss, less formal shoes would make a difference (though if you come across any like HRH's, just go for it). Oh, and maybe tone the earrings down a bit. Classic pearl studs, perhaps?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I agree - that's a great find! I'd wear it and dress it down a bit if you'd feel more comfy like that. Wedges/handbag/jacket to take a bit of the pawsh off it
And if you don't feel right in it, I'd bang it on ebay for £349I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.9 -

Have unearthed a pair of dark turquoise ballet flat type shoes, some black suede ones and some tan wedges to try with 'the frock', along with a small basket-type shoulder bag to attempt to de-pawsh the outfit a little......7
