I found a silver grey merino roll neck sweater half price in the Save The Children shop, a copy of Rick Stein's Spain in CR and a lambswool college sweater with my initial (A) & 2 feather cushion inners in the children's hospice shop. Total spend £9.95.
not saying it's not your initial but an A on a college sweater always used to indicate that you were part of the athletics team.  Or maybe that's just over there.....
It's definitely not from over there... its actually Primark, one of their rare quality items.

Who has nearby charity shops actually open tomorrow? I think the Yorkshire Cancer one in Northallerton is open but I'm not sure about others in town.

I'm sure lots of people will be dropping stuff off so it could be a good day for bargain hunting! Or maybe that's in a day or so's time, once it's been sorted through.

I'm in for 2023 - and once again I expect most of my treasures to come from car boot sales, with the occasional chazza on rainy days or in winter. I also need to get rid of stuff, but it tends to go in dribs and drabs as I'm not good at it.
Can't wait for the Bedale car boot to start up.  Is it Easter when it starts again?  Trust me to only discover it on it's very last day of the year!!!
Yorkshire is going to happen for me next year!
Ooh, really?! If you are coming far north (Yorkshire being somewhat on the large side, as in hours of driving from one end to the other, or one side to the other), let us know! Mind you, there's not much left to discover after all our posts. :)
Sorry that made me smile.  Yorkshire - large?   I'm Canadian and it's a 14 hour drive to my Mum's house.

    Apologies for derailing.
By UK standards it is, that's why it's been divided into regions. Hampshire comes next on the list but Britain is but a Small Island, as Bill Bryson most delightfully attested to. North America is on a whole other scale and our land mass cannot compare! I understood that most of the population in Canada live within 100 miles of the US border, although east to west is the best part of 5,000 miles which would be one long road trip!

Back to chazzer-talk: Canada I understand is very expensive; $6 CAD is about £3.60 which I would struggle to part with for a single book! But then day to day stuff is so pricey everything is relative. There are still some rock-bottom prices to be found here, but when it comes to utter madness then look no further than the property market.

I picked up a few withdrawn books at the local library for pennies on Saturday, not the titles I was seeking out but nonetheless interesting. My favourite is actually classified as a children's book which cost just 10p but is full of interesting facts and links (and sells at £10.95 new on Amazon):

So much to read, so little time.
