Who has nearby charity shops actually open tomorrow? I think the Yorkshire Cancer one in Northallerton is open but I'm not sure about others in town.
I'm sure lots of people will be dropping stuff off so it could be a good day for bargain hunting! Or maybe that's in a day or so's time, once it's been sorted through.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Last shop of last year picked up two pairs of Rohan walking trousers, one pair of Rohan jeans and a checked Rohan shirt that all fit my mother perfectly (short leg!). Cost £22.6

On a UK scale it's the largest county but on a world scale, a drop in the ocean (or possibly in the North Sea).
Mind you, I'm English and it's 680 miles to my sister-in-law's house and 4,000 miles to my sister's.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’m not making any promises about not buying! I want another Advent candle (but only if I can find one discounted) & I have a heap of books that I’ve read or have been gifted that I have no wish to give shelf or headspace to, & offspring have added to the box! (None of it food, I notice. Ah the young male of the species…) Then when the decorations come down, I shall set up a November box of everything I haven’t used in years. Then I can crack on hunting down Denby again, with a bright eye & a clear conscience!9

Apologies for derailing.Back to chazzer-talk: Canada I understand is very expensive; $6 CAD is about £3.60 which I would struggle to part with for a single book! But then day to day stuff is so pricey everything is relative. There are still some rock-bottom prices to be found here, but when it comes to utter madness then look no further than the property market.
I picked up a few withdrawn books at the local library for pennies on Saturday, not the titles I was seeking out but nonetheless interesting. My favourite is actually classified as a children's book which cost just 10p but is full of interesting facts and links (and sells at £10.95 new on Amazon):Eta: for those with 10 minutes to spare for a laugh about English counties, watch this:https://youtu.be/hCc0OsyMbQk .
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.2
