Seems the OH has decided to work his way through all the top fashion houses in his quest for presents. So I shouldn't be surprised to get a Versace scarf for Christmas. From the Oxfam shop on line but he won't mention the price but he said it had to be specially delivered. Normally they simply post things.
So he spent more on me for presents but I bought him more stuff. Sensibly the majority is consumable - cooking sauces for me, chocolates and whiskey for him. Books for both which we'll share...
Am determined to not simply store the christmas decs after they come down but box up what we don't want/like to deliver to a chazzer in about 9 - 10 months. I'm sure none of them will want stuff they will just need to store for a prolonged time. Have also got a few things that will be regifted/recycled/chazzed - a painted tea light from work that also had chocolates in it (eaten....), a very long and somewhat ugly hot water bottle (why? friend has been bogof shopping online again). I'm building up a box of nice/new things to drop off first week of the new year.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Had a quick lookee in the chazza shops in Ripon today and in every single one the staff were removing all the sparkly Crimbo frocks and general festive stuff. Some remaining things were reduced. Hope we have some lovely new stock to rummage through soon. Picked up a pair of Country Casuals wool trousers in khaki for £6.....must lay oft the mince pies now or I will not be able to do 'em up!9
