I didn't know that's what an Advance Proof Copy is, interesting. Thanks @DigForVictoryI'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.5

I doublechecked and ARCs are slightly different "Also known as ARCs, or advance review copies, these are produced privately by publishers and distributed to booksellers and journalists prior to the official release date. Because ARCs may not have been put through the entire editing process, the copy will often differ slightly from the standard edition of the book. ARCs may also have different cover art."
Awed at using chazzer finds to fundraise! More reliable than African violet cuttings though & more varied & fun.8 -
I prefer the M & S shirt with the stripes from your Otley haul @Miró and am very impressed with your dishes from Northallerton. I rarely see what I think of as the 'useful sizes' in those sorts of dishes and suspect that when relatives are house clearing they all go home with them. Thinking about it, I hardly ever see scissors either, especially the smaller sewing and nail trimming size pairs.
Sorry to hear of your disappointment in Horsham and Guildford @C_J and better luck next time your OH has to make a trip.
Fascinating find @YoungBlueEyes and potentially valuable in the future too so don't forget to leave it to your grandchildren in your will!
Some lovely patterns there @Coxy11 so I hope they do well at auction.
I have had a frantically busy two days but managed to squeeze in a visit to my favourite Bhf shop on my way home from a museum visit this afternoon. I snapped up this mini wicker hamper £4, it's 30cm x 20cm x 15cm so very cute, and these lovely thick and soft black jeans which were £7.50.

While I remember, I'm planning a weekend in Newcastle with my gentlemen caller soon - can anyone direct me to the best chazzers to drag him into? For info, we're already going to Tynemouth on the Saturday.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I don't know the chazzers in Newcastle but I do know the parking's a nightmare and worth researching in advance if you are taking a car. A good general shopping centre, though.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Yes, the same with knitting needles too in some shops - you have to ask at the till for them.6

I am always asking in charity shops for scissors as I often wear what I buy out of the shop and I want them to cut the label off. I think they do keep them under the counter as they always seem to have a pair nearby when I ask.2025 GOALS
