Sunday in Northallerton - king sized quilt cover + 2 pillowcases, plain cream heavily embossed damask stylee fabric. B/n. Sheridan make, still in unopened packaging, £7.50. From the Cancer Research shop. Doubt I will use the pillowcases as I don't think an embossed damask patterned face is quite my vibe
Also got 2 oblong plain white ovenproof dishes, just what I have been searching high and low for to make & serve individual lasagne/moussaka/pasta bake type dishes, £3.99 from Age Concern near Tesco. (Lovely woman works there on Sundays!)9 -
@Miró I have plain cotton sateen pillowcases to match my sheets which I sleep on, the fancy duvet cover matching ones are on the underneath pillows 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I'm a disappointed CJ today ..... yesterday we had to venture all the way to Horsham for something which Mister CJ needed to do, so I looked up chazzers in the local area and discovered what promised to be a 'warehouse' called Horsham Matters. I got very excited, but by the time we had run Mister CJ's errands it was 2pm, and the shop was closed! I will never know what delights there might have been.4

Don't be too disappointed C_J the Horsham Matters warehouse closed last year and they have move their selling to a shop in the town centre now called Love it Again and a online shop where amongst other things they sell their large items (furniture etc). I believe their warehouse is open for donations, collection of online purchases and the food bankLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin6

Ah, thank you for that Brambling - I don't feel quite so bad about it now. They had a sign on their door saying their opening hours were 9.30am-2pm but there were lots of bin liners of clothes stacked by the door so it didn't look as though they had been open for a while.
I had also hoped we would have had to time to look in Horsham town centre and also in Guildford on the way back home (an internet search had revealed local hospice shops in both places, and I find people donate more generously to those than to the bigger charities, so there can often be fascinating treasures to be found) but alas there wasn't time to do any shopping at all. I feel cheated

Despite my deep love of maxims and tenets, I bought this today - based solely on its cover.I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.7

Ooh sorry! I should have known better! It’s The Fact Of A Body by Alexandria Marzano-Lesnevich.It’s a true crime, Deep South, murder jobber. And I’d be half way through it now if lovely neighbour hadn’t come round to ask me to hers for coffee! (I was very good tho and engaged brain before speaking. Otherwise I’d have said “Coffee?! Are you MAD?! Would you look at this book that I’ve owned for nearly 2 hours and I’ve not turned a page of it!! Asking me for coffee…. For crying out loud….)I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.7
