Oooooh had a nice find in the St Gemma's 99p Hospice shop in Otley today.  A Sosander chocolate brown jersey wrap dress with tie belt in  a midi length.  It's this one only in brown.... £69 in John Lewis...99p to me and it honestly looks brand new but no tags on it.  I actually already have one but in a burgundy colour and I have really enjoyed wearing that so I was thrilled to find another in a different colour, (especially at that price....thank you chazza Gods!)

I nipped out in my lunch break from the office today, and bought a very large tub of genuine Duplo including people and animals (part of the old zoo set was in there, I recognise it from when my children were little!) for my tiny granddaughter. She’s only a year old but has started showing a big interest in her cousins’ Duplo, so now she has a bucketful of her own. Paid £5, very happy.

Almost complained to someone in a charity shop today but she disappeared into the back room so I didn't get a chance.  

There's a little shop by the chemist and surgery and I'll often pop in there if I'm early for an appointment or whatever.  They've often had nice scarves, interesting books and glassware.  Today I noticed they'd done a major shift about of display furniture etc as if someone new was doing it all.  The first disturbing thing I saw was a nice scarf under a pair of shoes.  The display was great but I wouldn't want a scarf that someone had essentially walked on.  Even worse was another display featuring a pair of very well worn, somewhat vintage shoes with a scarf kinda blooming out of one of them.  That is so very disgusting to think that a scarf that I would want to wear around my neck had been cuddling up to someone's foot stink.  

OK - I could buy something and wash it.  And goodness only knows what people might have done with their scarves prior to donating them.  But the thing is I don't know what they have done with them.  I look them over, determine if they are clean, if they smell of old lady perfume I know I can wash them and will buy them if they are cheap enough.  But these today I could not buy as I would always think "this has been in a stranger's shoe".

@Brie that sounds as if they are using scarves as decor rather than items for sale. Maybe have a look next time you're there and if its still the same have a quiet word?
