    For absolute clarity - they are "sorry that you are unhappy" - not "sorry that we have caused you to be unhappy" or even "Sorry that we have done something which has made you unhappy"! That is not an apology - it is them wording a reply to you (or rather, a generic reply which has been sent to everyone who has contacted them with a similar complaint to yours) which is designed to give the impression of being an apology. Mind you - seems to have worked doesn't it! :lol: 
    If anything, it could perhaps be said that the letter was written by someone not unlike this mysterious book author too.
