    Hi again julicorn 👋🏻
When I click on the link to the 2023 spreadsheet in the first post, Google is telling me I need to request access… I’ve not needed this in previous years (and the links to previous year’s spreadsheets in the same post still take me to those spreadsheets fine) - has something changed for next year’s spreadsheet?
Sorry about that, and thanks for flagging it up! Sounds like Google has ramped up its default security settings a little - I've made a couple of changes now, would you be able to have another look and see if it works for you now? Thanks again!
Yes, it works fine now, many thanks julicorn

Welcome back everyone, thank you @julicorn for assigning me #32. It’s going to be a low target as I’m saving for a wedding and also I had a very low mortgage rate which comes to an end in May (much like some) so the extra OP I would normally have done will cover the new mortgage. Setting myself a £4,000 target.

    Save £12k in 2025 #48 £11,200/£14,000; Save £12k in 2024 #26 £13,055.37/£6,000; Save £12k in 2023 #31 £11,500/£6,000; Save £12k in 2022 #32 £7,180.24/£7,000; Save £12k in 2021 #32 £9,500/£8,000; Save £12k in 2020 #147 £9,370/£8,000

  • Hi,

hi keen to join again #33 but happy to move up or stay same.

i’m going To go for 24000 which is a huge stretch but includes amount saved up to pay off fix. This would see us mortgage free.

    thank.
  • Can I join please? New to this.
£130k mortgage started out in March 2021 ... currently around £95k with hopes of being MF in 3.5 years. Ambitious. But we're on track.
I'm not really sure how this works, I'd hoped it was a sort of 'league' with the folks with the least to pay being at the top, biggest outstanding debt at the bottom, then when you make a payment you change your balance to see if you've 'moved up'.
That'd be ace but I guess difficult to administer. When I saw a MFW # I thought that's what it was. Would be pretty motivational.

I'll see how this works :)

    Also, it’s not a competition…
Everyone’s circumstances are different and everyone is on their own MF journey - every OP, however large or small, is worth celebrating as it saves the payer a little interest and brings their mortgage free goal a little closer :)

I think Julicorn has enough admin just keeping up with updates lol.
I like a little healthy competition and it can be motivating, but also sometimes life stuff can get in the way of the best intentions, I'd hate for someone to get upset to see themselves slipping down the chart.

  • I don't see it as a competition. Like JB said everyone's situation is different, timescales are different , we're trying to clear in 3.5 years, others in 15 years, some people owe £300K, other £3k... it's defo not a race or a competition they'd be at totally different ends of the form.. Just seeing yourself moving up the table would be motivation.

It's like being a member of a Working Mens Club.... your initial membership number starts off really high but as folks leave/die/don't rejoin you move up the numbering system.

Or triathlons.... most folks are ONLY competing against themselves ... there will ALWAYS be faster swimmers/cyclist/runners ... but it's good to see how you're doing in the field.

Was just a thought. I guess you wouldn't be able to have the participants editing the same
