Hi @Coupon-mad.  So we sent the email just before Christmas and today my husband received another letter of claim dated 28th December with the same reference number but with another 2 PCNs listed.  This is now a total of 13 PCNs for £2080.  Do we need to email them again.  DCB have not acknowledged the email sent.
Do you think these will end up going to court?
13 tickets do not add to £2080. DCBL has added their usual fake amounts
No doubt they have called the fake add-ons DAMAGES.

If they win, who will they be paying the damages to ?  It will not be UKPC..

Whether this goes to court will depend if DCBL can trust what UKPC say.  As you will have read DCBL discontinue a lot of UKPC cases and be it one or 13, your defence will be the same for each one.
and a judge can dismiss all of them.

So yes, DCBL will try it on but it does not mean they will win especially as they had added fake amounts and must sign a statement of truth to the court

So bear in mind you do not owe £2080 and judges do not approve of scams going to court
The courts call this double recovery which is not allowed

You can bet your bottom dollar it will end up in court
But Defendants here win or see DCB Legal discontinue before hearings...so just to be clear, no offering money!

Even if all 13 PCNs are upheld by a Judge at a hearing (highly unlikely) the Defendant would pay less, because 13x£70 added for a LBC and failing to recover the alleged 'debt' at pre-action stage is false and Government ministers called this aspect 'extortion'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

On Thursday 4th May my husband got his his claim form from the County Court.

When DCBL sent their last letter of claim there were 3 in total (each with an additional pcn added) the amount they wanted was £2240.

    The County Court want:
    Amount claimed - £3287.50
    Court Fee - £205.00
    Legal Reg Costs - £80.00
    Total Amount- £3572.80

Thr letter is dated 2nd May 2023.

Can someone please advise what the next step is. I feel sick at the amount they want.

    Thanks
