Online dating is very weird. I did meet my wife through it so it can work.
Well done on the debt payments and I completely understand about a checkpoint goal of 5k. It will feel like a massive win.My Debt free diary

Thank you everyone for confirming I am not the crazy one
I'd help anyone in dire need but I would never, ever, ever ask to borrow money from someone I don't know in that way?!
I'm sure people have worse stories... but hey ho. If you see a smiley man trying too hard with his outfit standing by the tomatoes in Sainsburys, say hello!

All caught up! Well done on the argos card. Are you going to close it to stop temptation?
I love ynab but with the exchange rate just can't justify it. So now I have a spreadsheet i use and some feeder bank accounts.
Online dating is awful. I last about 2 days before I get fed up and delete the apps. I have a few friends who have success stories but you really do have to be patient and willing to find a diamond in the rough. I don't have the patience for it.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7000
*Virgin Credit Card - £3552.50 - £0
*Natwest - £1828.35 -£0.00

@Gettingmyshiztogether All good - thanks for checking in and prompting me to post

It's been pretty standard this past week or so - keeping to budget and waiting for the new month to make new repayments
I've found out that not all people on Bumble are... different
And have a date set for Saturday! I've budgeted extra for that and am looking forward to it
If my maths is right, I could potentially get the Paypal Credit balance down to £100 in February.. and if I can somehow find that extra £100.. it'll be the second debt gone! I'm not sure if it's completely possible yet, with potential second dates (
presumptuous I know!) and Mum's birthday, but I will if I can!
My thinking is the more I can strike while the iron is hot, and pay more than the £600 a month assigned for repayments, the more chance I have of getting debt-free this year and sorting this once and for all
